I'm working as a software Engg in India from last 3 yrs. I gave my GRE(1320/4.0) and TOEFL(253) abt 2 yrs back. TOEFL is going to expire in Sept. 2006 I'm looking for one in top 30 CS colleges which can do good funding. Also, I'm not v clear abt the acceptance criterion of these colleges. Can you please help me in finding the answers ?
I notice that a lot of your answers speak about proving that the candidate intends to come back. What if I honestly say that I would like to work in US for a few years to repay my student loan, and then intend to come back? Is accepting the intent to stay on in the US either temporarily or permanently, a very negative thing? Does this affect the chances for getting the visa very adversely?
