The article was really good but would be better if the ways of improving ones soft skills would hav been dealt in a little more depth.Hope it would be posted in the next article.

Is it a big deal to be a Muslim, we are talking about corporate world here and bloody you cannot come out of your well what will you know about the whole wide world.
Accept this fact, our community is the most insecured community ever and not more of us have made big in corporate world. Please don't name Azim Premji he is not one.
Being a Muslim (the one who submits to will of god) God says in Quran the book for whole of mankind:
Indeed men is in state of loss except those who have faith in the creator, do good deed i.e, soft skills, follow / practice truth & instruct for truth, and have patiences
It was really a fantastic article. It shows what all are the important facts to be remembered while we are in the row. I think that will help us to polish our personality too, especially the article on 'Time Management', really helped me to eradicate my errors to a great extend.
Hello: To attain Success every nook & corner needs to be examined in an individual...Survival of the fittest holds true even today...Soft Skills add flavour to the domain of Success.

I just looked at this article which was published sometime back. First of all I don't understand why people write this kind of things.The author seems to be "Rukmini Iyer is a corporate trainer and instructional designer". Could some one please tell me what qualifies her to give a message to the people on how to grow in their careers.Unless commercial reasons involved for the benefit of her inisitute.I don't know her background but if she had mastered these skills by this time she would've achieved the top positions that she was talking about.Its better is she focusses on improving innovation and enterprenurial spirits in the people instead of these "soft" skills which can only make indian engineers end up working as 'cheap-labor' for the MNCs. All these skills will be just an excuse to your poor technical skills and won't help if it comes to a point of company's layoffs.If you increase your analytical,problem solving skills and add innovation to things then you will be capable of doing anything and you won't require your dumb boss to recognize you. I hope the author will read this,change her approach and stop writing articles like this misleading the people.

Is it always required for you to be good in communication? This is just a comment, not mentioning anyone in particular. Many of us would have observed that there are people who don't even know how to speak, but are at present in the higher managerial levels, where communication plays a major role. Its just a curious question, as there are situations when being communicative also causes a lot of problems. Is there a measure on the amount of communication skills that you need to have. Can you please clarify this query and provide me with a suitable answer.
