As the article says, it is easy to say but very difficult to implement. However, it is the way to be. A personal trainer will definitely improve a person's life in corporate life while the person's experience teaches him practically how to respond and embetter his life. Very useful article. I'm refering this to my management to help them improve our environment.
An interesting artcicle. But we hv read many on this subject & to this level of awareness. It shall be interesting if rediff or the author starts a basic module of tipd fr these skill improvistaion series. Best wishes Pradeep
When I saw this article I had to click it open and read it! There couldnt be anything more true, its often the case that less skilled persons often gifted in interpersonal skills get to bag many colleagues appreciation and yes Superiors do look out for those who are an expert in this glib. Infact I find that is what should be taught more in B schools for management (the "human" factor) rather than handling fundas which often just becomes a backup for existence in an office! But, remember if you are good as gold in your job, your superior COULD be the right goldsmith to carve out a beautiful career for you! Right balance is perhaps the secret.
It is indeed a nice article telling us what are the soft skills we need for success. I would like to know more on how to improve these soft skills. Can you please give us your details on the same and also on the behavioural training, etc. so that we can contact you for the training.
dear Ms. Iyer This is indeed a good article. Soft skills really enhance the ability of anyone to express himself more clearly and correctly. I would love to have more of your views on such trainings. Especially on Cross-Culture Trainings, since India is now getting global and interacting with different cultures accross the globe. I would greatly appreciate if i could get your contact number or email id. Also let me know if you can hold such training in delhi(NCR).

hi, i am inder, an engineer. i read ur message on rediff. if u got the contact no. or email of Ms.iyer pls mail it at my id. i'll be very thankful to u.hoping for ur response.
Yes, I am 100 percent agreed with the every single word written in this article. I work for an MNC(PCS Mumbai) as an S/W professional and whatever has been written does work in professional life, note the phrase "professional life", I also did not used to prefer applying these thoughts previously, but one day i read and article and i thought let me gave it a try and you may belive it or it i got the promotion to group leader in 6 months, central idea is this learn to create a difference in attitude between your Professional and personal life. You may be a lazy chap in your personal life but you have to become most active, intelactual and good communicator if you want to see your self successful in your in professional life. Actually these thing creat a difference between two or more equally performing professionals.
