Summer project ! confused..
by dhaly on Sep 18, 2004 09:33 PM  Permalink

Hi,
I am doing my MBA.My specialization is both HRM and Marketing. Now am going to start my summer project.
I am confused on making a selection in between both specialization. If i choose HRM,then doing a project on HRM in a software company is sensible? The less strength of workforce is a problem in carrying out the project? If i select a software company, then which are the focussed and scopeful areas in an HR department where i can do my studies?

Hi Abha,

I am actually in a funny situation. I am with a company with which I joined service as General Manager but since then I have been re-designated as Regional head with a focus on my home town. I am not comfortable in my new position. My question is ..what do you make out of such demotions (if you can call them so?)

Ridiculous...
by Sujay Biswas on Sep 17, 2004 12:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Quite ridiculous how grown up men/women ask silly questions.. 'should i do mba?' , 'should i do finance or marketing?'... how silly... if a 27 yr old guy doesnt know whether he wants to do mba or not or he wants to study finance or marketing, then when will he know... and even if he does mba, a decision-less man like him would lead his comnay to nowhere ... grown up guys...make ur own decison... i wonder, how ppl like asha kapur(whtever her name was) make money by saying things which u probably know... saying things u would like to hear... grt way to 'cheat' ppl and make money...

Exactly, that is what even I feel. For most of the
questions, her answer is, "there are oppurtunities", "depends on competence", "what is your specialization..?". How come guys having 10+ and 20+ years of experience write their questions and get such meaningless, short answers, without any explanation. She should have answered only a few questions but with clarity and full detail, rather than trying to answer every question, with none of them aswered properly.
