It is all so funny watching these country cousins twisting their tongue pronounce french, spanish or some obscure catch words to better than native perfection. But when it comes to mouthing Indian names, places or any nouns/pronouns, they just have to mess it up, even worse than a firangi! The newsreader or program anchors on Star, NDTV or Zee will sing out a french tonguetwister to the envy of a French native. But ask him/ her to blurt out a few common South Indian names, he/she will be all at sea or at least make it sound totally jarring to the ears to the utter dismay of the audience! They all look so vainglorious and thoroughly pitiable, for they neither belong here nor 'there'!
The subject is in reference to the messege I saw posted before. Well French or no French this article was about fashion. In that sense very informative. But, I did have a good laugh reading the response!!!

Mr.Muralidar....whatever you said was absolutely correct...but indian newsreporters purposely wreck our names because its fashion....they can say it properly but its just that they feel as though they came from the US....anyone can read french...all one has to do is to swallow the ends of each each word or part of it....well i liked your comment....have a great day
The next time do help us with pronounciations of these french phrases. Ask your IT boys whether you can use the Devanagari script to show the pronounciation. Otherwise, very useful.
