Our Indian Team is only busy in claiming Lagaan from the advertisers. Let them live happily for some time...we the Indian public should learn to ignore them and forget cricket for a while.....maybe this will get them back from the Hoardings and advertisement to the playing ground.
You cannot win a war just like that. Not only you should have a perfect army for that but also you should have a perfect leader who can lead from the front. The leader has to give proper instructions to his soldiers and also marshal his resources well. Moreover Proper changes in strategies have to be made at the right juncture of time. Only if these formalities are fulfilled, we get the perfect army which has the courage to fight till the last. Cricket, now a days is nothing less than a war. A perfect leader is required in the form of the captain who has to marshal his players to fight the strategies made by the opposition. At the crucial juncture during the phase of the match he should be positive enough to take rash decision which may or may not work. If Dhoni is a big name in the Indian cricket, it is because of the positive energy he has given to the Indian cricket not only as a player but also as a captain. When he won the bilateral series against Srilanka, he became the first Indian captain to win nine ODI’s in succession. To be noted, four other captains have won eight ODI’s in succession – Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. As an Indian cricket fan, I feel extremely lucky that my team has Dhoni as the captain. He has been dynamic not only as a player but also as a captain.

I cannot forget that dreaded lucky day when the three biggest names in the Indian cricket, pulled them out of the T20 international world cup and the selectors were forced to make the Vice captain, M S Dhoni, the captain of the team. This came as a big surprise to the Indian cricket fans and to the utmost surprise to cricketing world, India won the T20 championship. This was more important for the Indian cricket because India, which was the last nation to support the T20 cricket, became a force to reckon with. We should really be thankful to Sachin Tendulkar for magical moment as he was the one who suggested the name of Dhoni to the selectors when the big guns pulled out. The 2008 CB series in Australia was another milestone in Dhoni’s term as the ODI world champions were beaten in their own backyard and that too very convincingly. It is the result of the same series that the Kangaroos are still sitting on a flaunting seat at the top. When Indians were hammered in the test series against Srilanka, Dhoni who was not the part of the test series led from the front in the ODI series and won the series even before the last ODI was played. When the kangaroos toured India, Dhoni was given the test captainship in the 2nd test when Kumble was not fit to play and again he won the test for India. After a drawn 3rd test at Delhi, where again Kumble was the captain, Kumble decided to stay goodbye to the international cricket and Dhoni was handed the captaincy of test Team. Cont...

The series was finally won by India 2-0, and both the matches were won against the captainship of Dhoni. This was the end of the kangaroo dominance in the test arena and as a result of this series; the kangaroos were beaten convincingly by the mighty South Africans at the end of the year. The Kangaroo series was followed by the England tour of India, A tour which can never be forgotten, due to the terrorist attacks on Mumbai. This seven match series was supposed to be called off after 5 ODI’s. The series was won 5-0 by India. Then the English side came back for the test series and Dhoni’s men again won the 2 test series 1-0. When Dhoni won the first test against England, He became the first Indian captain to win the first 4 tests he captained. The success rate for Dhoni in ODI’s is more than 60% and he has won 4 out of 5 test matches he has captained. He is really not bothered about the result of the match and enjoys it to every bit. He gives the credit of victory to his teammates but tries to absorb the blame of defeat on his shoulder. Dhoni gives all the support to the youngsters. We can see the way Gambhir, Sehwag, Yuvraj, Raina, Pathan Brothers enjoy his support. Dhoni has all the respect for his seniors as well. Can’t forget the test match in which he handed over the captaincy to Dada in his last test match. The world number 1 ODI batsman has become a revelation in all forms of cricket and I, as a diehard Indian fan would love to see it for a long time. Cont...

Ganguly was a good player and good captain Dhoni is also a good player but Dhoni has attitude like Gangully This is a major concern for team India. We have to follow of Sachin. He is a great great player Even He don't say to anybody where He is great. so dhoni control yourself. you are a Great player and captain all Indians like you as a captain or as team player. don't fight with other senior member like sehwag...........
We feel extremely lucky that Our team has Dhoni as the captain. He has been dynamic not only as a player but also as a captain.

Definitely Sachin is far far better than Ganguly. Ganguly was mean and selfish whereas Sachin is Team Man. When dropped Ganguly almost killed the game by indulging in dirty politics Sachin would never ever do this. Without performing on the field for 3 years from 2002 Ganguly occupied the seat of Captaincy by sheer machinations and manipulations with the connivance of Dalmiya the then BCCI President. Sachin would never do this. Whatever Ganguly did Sachin has done in in a better manner on and off the field. So there is no comparison between Ganguly and Sachin.

I have doubts about your cricketing knowledge when you rate a limited player like Ganguli as the world's best left hander. surely you are a marwari from kolkata and a well paid chamcha which are found in plenty these days in Calcutta.
