What is the carbon footprint of IPL?
by Gopal Krishna on May 18, 2008 04:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Just at the outset of summer, while IPL is basking under the glare of floodlights, the common man has to put up with crippling power cuts. Fair?

Oh plz, Mr. Gopal Krishna, just spare rediff atleast from your psycho-pseudo environmental trash. You are everywhere, books, mags, journals, conferencers, blogs...just get outta here.

U keep posting the same shite incessantly day in and day out using your comp..Instead u make a point once and end it there. See how much carbon u save!

And allow me to get some practical sense in your head. Consider this. Estimate the carbon footprint of the entire IPL. Divide it by the number of people for whom it is pure entertainment....say atleast 5 Mn!! So what do you get per head?? Tiny miniscule amount which would be less than the electricity consumed by you in your incessant posting.

And don't u start abt RDF ..

Bad Image
by Vivek Thaokar on May 18, 2008 03:57 PM  Permalink

If true it is indeed a bad thing for Indian cricket but more so for the image of our country. Whether the aussies came here for just money or for the love of the game is beside the point. They have signed contract and those should be honored.

Most of the franchise owners are in the red it seems so the Aussie players may have to wait longer for their wages...poor fellows, came here dreaming of big money but only went back paupers..poor fellows!!
