THis is aussie's response on kumble's comment ... seems like they really dont get it .. standards that apply to the world do not apply to themselves McGrath surprised by Kumble comments
January 07, 2008
CRICKET legend Glenn McGrath expressed surprise and disappointment at India captain Anil Kumble's questioning of Australia's integrity in the controversy-plagued second Test.
Both Ricky Ponting's character and Australia's sportsmanship were questioned during an explosive post match press conference at the SCG on Sunday after the home team's dramatic last-gasp victory.
Asked for his reaction to Kumble's comment that "only one team was playing in the spirit of the game", McGrath said he was a little bit surprised.
"I always got on really on with Anil and he's a great guy, very reserved. I find it quite surprising that he would come out and say that.
"It's probably a little bit disappointing from an Australian point of view, because I know the way the boys play.
"I've got total respect for every guy that pulls on the baggy green cap and walked out there. I think the Australians play it hard and we play it fair."
Asked if Ponting had any need to defend his integrity, which was called into question by an Indian journalist at the post-match press conference McGrath said, "definitely not" and cited the captain's attitude over not claiming a potential catch.
"I think if they want to look at his integrity, you only have to look at that first innings, that was a catch he
The chances are highly likely that Harbhajan is guilty as charged and did call Symonds a big monkey.......The problem seems that it may not be proved as there is no audio or vision of it happening....If he gets cleared on this technicality...does it make him any less guilty..?...Legally yes ...but morally no..

Whats your name?Whatever?I have read some of your comments and I could say you are a novice. You don't understand the Indian culture. These Aussies get the license to say any damn thing to any cricketers around the world be it mc grath, ponting, waugh, warne, symonds list is endless, how many of them have been banned or fined? This ICC and Aussies are the biggest racist and threat to world cricket. If all the Asian countries unite against these issues then you Aussies have to play in your backyard only like waugh mentioned "Its the aussies way of playing cricket in their backyard" though we play little different when opponents break ones head or nose or legs.Got it?I am right or wrong Mr.ponting? :) If you give it to others then have the heart to take it. We Indians are not kids else we would have walked in between the test match itself.I wonder if same amount of decision would have gone against Aussies and they lost the match then what would have happened.I think Mr.proctor would have banned whole team India for an year.

Being objective, if you look at the video replays, what Harbhajan says is not visible, 'cause he's facing away from the camera. But I thought I got an idea of what Symonds was saying. Singh made THAT gesture to Symonds at the end of the over, calling him over. Singh uttered a sentence. Symonds replied, which seemed to put Singh off. Singh uttered his 2nd sentence, much more animated this time, even pointing towards Symonds. The next thing Symonds said was, "You called me a monkey?".... I think this sentence is clearly visible on the replays. I am not trying to draw conclusions, but that was that.
Prem, Guess you could have become Sunny Deol of Gaddar or Border. Let's stop being jingoistic with self-pity.
Atleast now our players are aggressive enough to take the opposition by the scruff of their neck. These kind of pieces would derail all those.
Lots have already been said and written about all these. Now, will you please stop all these or we might not be able to see Sachin making another hundred in Perth.

There lies the problem. I don;t care who scores how many tons in the next test. All I want to see is a bloody win, literally.

Mr.Lonely Heart doesn't understand that Sachin cannot score a century if he is timed out even before entering the field.Ponting will run and cry to umpire for that and Umpire will ask another most dishonest person in the autralian camp than the third umpire or even steve waugh will come into the field and give Sachin out.Nonsense....
Ricky Ponting and the Australian team can be compared to George Bush and the American government. Because they are the dominant force within the world of cricket they think that they can get away with anything. Like the Americans they consider themselves above everyone else, which is shown in their blatant disregard for others and thier obvious double standards. It also does not help the Australians cause that like the Americans they are led by a self centred and sometimes childlike leader.
