Agree with you on all the main points except that the BCCI's Shukla clarified on television that TENDULKAR NEVER SENT ANY SMS TO THE BCCI!! You risk sounding just like the people you criticise if you do not establish the truth of what you are saying. Should not one wonder why Tendulkar would need to send an sms when it would be more direct to speak by phone?

Mr. Saxena I Agree with you. Though Mr. Panicker has wonderfully drafted and covers almost all the issues regarding India's rights and Injustice towards India, Henceforth I suggest he should ensure to gather detailed facts and only then write in order not to sound like the people he criticises. We appreciate and honour your love for the country Mr. Panicker, - If also you could put forth BCCI's linency shown towards Ausie players, It being a good apportunity to make Ausies pay for their misconduct and indecent behaviour on field. Namely - 1. Pontings false appeal. 2. Clarke's cheap and shameful behaviour of waiting at the crease till umpire declared him out. 3. Unfair judgement towards Harbhajan - which should instead be called as a Racist act.
the official sponsors for indian team are AIR SAHARA US $ 70 MILLION 4 YEARS, MEDIA RIGHTS FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS IN INDIA TO NIMBUS HOUSE FOR US $ 612 MILLION, OFFICIAL KIT SPONSORSHIP RIGHTS FROM 2006-2010 TO NIKE FOR US $ 43 MILLION AND MEDIA RIGHTS FOR 25 ONEDAY INTERNATIONALS FOR NEUTRAL VENUES TO ZEE TELE FILMS FOR US $ 219.15 MILLION. BUISNESS STANDARD REPORTS IT WILL GET US $ 450 MILLION FROM SALE OF OTHER RIGHTS INCLUDING HOTEL TRAVEL AND GROUND SPONSORSHIP. BCCI MADE AN INCOME OF 650 CRORE FOR THE YEAR ENDING 2006/07. BCCI has announced it will spend $ 347 MILLION OVER THE SUBSEQUENT ONE YEAR TO UPGRADE CRICKET STADIUMS AND GROUNDS AROUND THE COUNTRY. so whats going on?
Australia is a land of bunch of people whose parents/ grandparents/ great grandparents were criminals thrown out of Great Britain. What do you expect from these hooligans? Naturally they will perpetuate what they have in their genes...criminality/ unfair methods/ injustice / racism / sadism...

Anand,,,how do you know this? Do you have proof?Stop generlizing Australians,,you are jepordizing the lives of Indians in Australia. Making unfounded allegations is easy, but to prove it,,,you need proof,,,And what is it that is so good and remarkable about you, which makes you outstanding amongst rest of the human beings. Look deeply and see if you find any faults ok. Don't be so "idotically" ignorant. Look at our history and tell me who we are? Animals or humans? And by the way I am an Indian based in Mumbai.

By the language they use and the actions on the field. Everything is criminal about them. Before 2000 they would even crib about the performance of Indian IT guys and when Indians went from strength to strength, the Australians reconciled to this truth by entirely keeping mum.

Biased!!!In fact I thought prem weighed in both sides of the coin and has been an objective, factual observation. If you think this is biased you probably need to check u-know-what or you didnt understand the article. Please dont make allegations without reading the article properly.
Sad to see that a game we cherished so much as young lads is now so complicated and is a the center of a heated dispute and bad controversies. A thrilling test match and a great finish. Reminds one of the 87 Test match @ chepauk between the two sides. But thats where things end... Leave Ponting, Symmonds, Benson and Bucknor aside. It was still a great Test match. Sachin the master with his brilliant hundred, Ishant with his inspired bowling ( luckless, ofcourse ). He also was a sport in shaking hands with Symonds and Huseey @ the end of first and second innings of the Test match. Sad that its going to be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
If the whole situation arising out of their misdemeneaour doesnt make the Aussies ponder about how they cross the limits...wonder what else would ever would?
If not for India, it could have been West Indies or Sri Lanka or Pakistan.
There were 4 issues in this match 1. Steve Bucknor%u2019s personal vendetta against India. Please dig into the matches he has officiated in the last 10 plus years. You will be amazed at the percentage of erroneous and dubious decisions he has given against India. I dare you to compare this with any other neutral umpire%u2019s dubious decisions against any other country. 2. Harbhajan%u2019s racial slur allegation, and later upholding it. Enough is said already on this topic. 3. Australian team%u2019s lack of honesty, especially Ricky Ponting appealing for a grounded chance, and then siding with his teammate for converting a grounded catch into a clean one. It does not matter that Ganguly had given an easy chance a few overs before that, and Clark had dropped. Had he continued, Ganguly might have nicked next over only. But, the point is, before the series Ponting and Kumble had agreed for something noble. On the fifth day of the second match, Ponting betrayed. 4. Some very inconsistent decisions in the match. When Dravid played a shot to gully or point area, in the first innings, Australians appealed even though it was caught after one bounce, and Bucknor referred this to the third umpire. Of course, obviously it was a not out. Again, in the second innings, I don%u2019t exactly remember who the umpire was, but he referred an obvious not out (run out chance of Bhajji, I think) to the third umpire because the Australians appealed loud. However, the genuine stumping of Hussey

Contd.. 4. Some very inconsistent decisions in the match. Of course, obviously it was a not out. Again, in the second innings, I don%u2019t exactly remember who the umpire was, but he referred an obvious not out (run out chance of Bhajji, I think) to the third umpire because the Australians appealed loud. However, the genuine stumping of Hussey (I think) by Dhoni was not even referred to third umpire. As everybody knows, Ganguly%u2019s catch (by Clark) should have had been referred to the third umpire first. Then again, even third umpire gave a dubious decision in the first innings favoring Symonds.
Aren%u2019t these enough reasons for Indians to get angry about the whole episode? On top of it, Australians claim they played hard and fair.
If you are one of those people supporting Steve Bucknor, calling those were human errors, ask yourselves one question: Why Indians who have really watched and paid attention to the matches over the years are singling out Bucknor? Why not Dickie Bird or David Shepherd? Of course there will be one or two errors by any umpire, but this fellow has carried out some personal vendetta against India. There is no other way to describe it.

Contd... Oh, one last thing, after all this hungama, Indian team should be brought home. Just think about the ramifications of being tagged as racists. It took hell of a lot of time for South Africa to get back into international cricket because of their racist society that existed way back then. If Bhajji is not completely cleared off the charges, I will leave it to your imagination how the crowd will behave when Australia tours India next. It will kick off a whole new cycle of racism allegations.

hey.. well said..but if you think indians do the same to australians..then...the following scenario is quite possible..indian crowds are very hostile to whites..so most of the white countries..like eng, nzl, aus wont tour india..so then what..india to play Bngladesh, kenya, nepal(BCCI started the coaching there),Zimbabwe, srilanka, west indies(no team after couple of years), and then only country left would be pakistan & southafrica..then what..people might loose interest in cricket and BCCI might loose lot of money...then what no more good classy cricket..then we might have to start Renji Series(similar to world series in US)...r u sure we indians are smart enough to do something stupid(start racism cycle)..who would be at loss....
