Steve Bucknor might have been out of umpiring business long ago if the rules and regulations of ICC are strictly followed and if there is any accountability in ICC umpiring panel. I think he may be bribing some of the officials of ICC to consider him for matches? Or there is any kind of match fixing between few countries, whom he helps by giving out to few in form batsmen and also by not giving out to few outs to the bowlers? This must be probed by the anti match fixing cell of the ICC. Enough is enough. Let our most so called powerful BCCI must take it up that must not play matches when Steve Bucknor is umpire and object the same before hands. Have our officials have balls to do that? Or face it and do not make any fuss.

Umpires are also human beings. Sometimes even they do mistakes and that shouldn't be taken very seriously. But definitely India lost an edge in the second Test match against Australia because of bad umpiring. Steve Bucknor, i guess, is too old to continue as an umpire.

yes it is true.he is really old.so must retire from international umpiring.
again poor umpiring costs india. y ICC is nt taking any action? most important thing is that it mostly happened in australia. wethear it is darrel hayer, harper or steve buckner. there mst b a rule in which captain should b havin the rights to oppose a closed decisions. for example the decisions given by buckner in favour of symonds. team mgmt shd send report to ICC referee for the bad umpiring.

That 53 is much more better then getting out and letting the opposition to pounce on you. Besides his so called "Boring 53" along with Laxman set up the platform for a big score. Atleast he made the bowlers work for his wicket.

Yeah dravid back in action ............... but I am sure Harbhajan batted better. I think Dravid was looking like a no.9 or 10. He needs rest or put in harsher words he needs to be shown the door.Looks like he isn't over the depression of losing the captaincy. I think he is missing his master Chappell.

Dravid should be used as an opener from now on. With 4 middle order players over 30 the time has come for a bit of succession planning.
A great way to start this is to support Dravid as opener and not to call for his blood everytime he fails. He's doing an unfamiliar role which he doesn't really want to do at the moment but it's what the team needs and it frees up a spot in the middle order for younger players. Therefore in the interests of the future of Indian cricket Dravid must continue to open but be supported by the selectors the whole way. There will be initial failures from him but we should ignore the morons calling for his head at the moment.
Meanwhile there should be competition for the No. 6 spot. Yuvraj is not stepping up at the moment but he needs to be given time. Our brilliant Board denied him a practice match and are expecting him and Dhoni to set the world on fire when these two haven't even played a Test in Aus before. It ain't gonna happen.
But it should be made clear to Yuvraj there are plenty of other batsmen like Badrinath, Tiwary, Rohit Sharma etc breathing down his neck. This way he's unlikely to get complacent.
