banning websites
by rajasekar ayyalu on Apr 09, 2008 06:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The way BCCI is going behind money very soon they will start selling slots on the back of BCCI selectors and Mr.Pawar Niranjan shah.
They may start marketing painting the entire ground ball bat stumps and umpire uniforms etc.

these site info makes the game more popular .Its not correct on their part to sell. What they are doing with the huge money received any how its flowing out of the country substantially for player fee etc.So why not sacrifice this bit too.

BCCI IS WRONG, SHAME ON MODI AND PAWAR FOR STIFLING FREEDOM OF PRESS
by deepak dhanesh on Apr 09, 2008 06:06 PM  Permalink

One important issue the BCCI does not realise is websites are an important news media for the visually impaired. Websites can be accessed using screen readers. Newspapers do not come in BRAILLE.

IPL & ICL both are pathatic
by Mash on Apr 09, 2008 06:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I personally don't feel any intrest in both this form. Forget about ICL as it includes many players who are now not a part of their international team, but on the contrary what about IPL it includes only it includes only current international players. When we watch international match between India & any other team we get cheered up by the fact our country is playing. Can we get the same feelings during IPL. Can Delhi people cheer Mcgrath to take Sachin's wicket or rather can Mumbai people cheer Harbhajan for taking Dravid's wicket. There is one more threat about this is after playing IPL these players will again go back to original teams. Unforunately if some bitter incidents happened between players of same team then it will affect the whole team spirit of that side. Just for some selfish buisnessmans & actors BCCI is making a joke of cricket & cricketing spirit.

Your problem is that you love India only not cricket. Love the game of cricket and you will applaud for every shot that is being played, every ball that is being bowled, irrespective of who does it.

Obviously, you are not a matured sports lover.

CriXXX.com new BCCI website
by Atul on Apr 09, 2008 05:54 PM  Permalink

Cricinfo.com and Rediff have been rewarded by IPL for not giving good coverage of ICL. These two websites are official bootlickers of BCCI. I am sure now these website are happy with their reward ;). CriXXX.com the official BCCI site for IPL presents 'Kolkata night riders' :)

ridiculous
by ramuk on Apr 09, 2008 05:52 PM  Permalink

Internet web site are news media too, similar to newspapers. An example being rediff, to which I come back everyday for news. It would be fair to say that in some cases "web" sites get across news much faster that traditional media. As many emergency situations have demonstrated before, people do turn to the web for information and help.

It's a pity that such short sightedness is getting in the way of a possibly interesting experiment in cricket.

I wish there is way we could get the BCCI to see reason.
