Aggression is not Rage
by JJ on Oct 08, 2007 09:02 PM  Permalink

Transparent expressions of frustration, anger should not be confused with on field aggression. On field aggression should be a very calculated completely in control behavior. Don%u2019t confuse it for heavy emotional bursts. However you express your aggression one important rule is %u201C The person should be in total control of his behavior%u201D In other words our body language, communication methods everything should be built around such aggression. Another important thing is aggressive players enjoy playing with another aggressive player. The reason is they both look for a good fight. The fight would be bloody, brutal yet they are trained to enjoy such. Take Mohammad Ali the best example of an aggressive player. He used to make the fights so interesting by his antics but if you read into his actions you understand that , these antics are powerful mind play at work and they made him%u2026 I am not saying anything about any team here. Just my thoughts about aggressive players in general....

The Agression is working in India's Favour
by Fardeen Shaikh on Oct 08, 2007 08:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its working guys. The Indians should be more aggressive. One has to hate the opponent on the field to win. The aussies are looking vulnerable for the first time even though they won the first two matches. It will take some time for India to be consistent like aussies. They should not change the track and keep the aggression. But not in extremes. Balanced.

Interesting to note the point you have made here - 'one has to hate the opponent on the field to win'. Unfortunately people look upon sports as a contest between two teams, even close to a war! But for the true sportsman, every game is a test of his own abilities, a race to better himself....opponents are just a means to achieve that end....

Ponting the Blah Blah
by Dhosa on Oct 08, 2007 08:12 PM  Permalink

Nothing surprising from the Master of Blah Blah 11. The idiot doesn't realise that both teams were warned by match referee at the end of 2nd ODI. The Indian team was behaving in gentlemenly manner pure out of respect to the Match Referee. But these arrogant Blah Blah Aussie never change..
