Ganguly was the only one who stood his ground and put up any resistance. Well yes against Sri lanka it wasnt his day. But the rest just crumbled like a pack of cards

His days are gone and would be good for India cricket if he retires. Mr Atul, good players are those who rise at the occasion and deliver for the country. Its more money than criket for him as well as players like Sachin, Dhoni, Dravid and Sehwag. Anyway we are lossing, lets try young guns as worst we have seen.

atleast he scored and did not get out on a duck like others

no use of scoring 66 in 129 balls and get out by scoping a lollypop. He presuured batsmen to follw him.

don't be narrow minded yaar. Accept the truth, he fought back his position and played the game not like the others, Moreover it hardly matters from any comments from any fools.

but what is the result as a opener you expect batsman to attack bowlers and disburse their ling and length ganguly made sure that bowlers get top of them and he plays like a test match. I think the bigger cause of India defeat in WC is b'coz of ganguly.

When he thought for the team, his form went off then you all only shouted to throw him out, now when he fought back and is fighting and scoring him you all are saying he is selfish. Aare yaar, be in one side, don't expect both heads and tails are yours.

you mean gangulyw as playing for 50 overs. No wonder he scored 66 of 129 balls, had he survuved for 50 overs he had scored 75 in 300 balls(comsume all 50 overs

Hello Mr. AAA,, what else do you want.. he was consistent in scoring runs . Still you have issue what do you expect from ganguly.. all the players have their own capabilities.. one should be fools like afridi and make a come n go situation without scoring a runs. No matter how many balls he played but that was his patience of staying in the ground and scoring for the country.

Is he talkin about Ganguly....well he disnt perform in the cruch game against Srilanka but otherwise there r guys who need to be kicked out before him. Mr Tendulkar make a new start again in the hospitality biz.Ur retaurants really need u.Wait sehwag..go back to domestic cricketand then maybe come back like ganguly. The question is why then the likes of Powar, Rains,Kaif,VRV,RP and so many were tried for the last 2-3 yrs wen the same old playres were selected. Dhoni's performance was already under question and the management kept on singing the song of Karthik being included as batsmen...wat a poor strategy and poor show . Its gud tat we r not in the super 8...orelse we would never have tot of getting rid of these brand ambassadors , businessmen & restauranteers and bringin real payers in the game. n Yes...please make some strategy tat they remain palyers only until they quit the game...one job at a time please

Fully agreee with jyoti.. it makes sense.. to say that whatever happens it happens for good. Videocone withdrew the adds showing cricket, with the fear that their product would not get a sale value from the cricket lovers.. its a sign thats something good is happening
It clearly shows that there is deep routed politics in Indian Cricket team as well , like divide in Hockey team between Punjab & south Indian players. That's why all anti Dravid camp players will be happy form such humilating defeat of Dravid & Chappell ,as they dont think its India's defeat & that's the only reason for India's poor performance. Outsider coaches were brought to India by keeping in mind that it was the coaches who brings politics in the team, but now its a proven fact that Indian themselves are deeply drown in politics & Indians are good as individual , but not so good as a group.
Only solution to overcome such problem is create alternatives for each & every Individual , even for captain. Drop the player nevertheless how big name or past record he has , if he fails to perform in 3 consecutives innings ( may be 3-4 series for captain ).
After Team India's horrible performance in the wold cup.. they have proved that they need an Agressive captain like Ganguly..Afterall he made Team India & He made them to play in the final in last world cup..So what are you waiting for.. Throw away Chappell & Make Ganguly Captain..

sure !!! once cricket starts hving non-playing captians, ganguly would defintely make a great "out-"standing captain !!! i really valued him as a player, until i saw him play only for himself in the world cup.. 66runs in 127 balls , 7 in 27 balls srilanka, 87 in 135 balls against the burmuda team !!!!

Bhai shahil i have bengali friend and he always appreciate ganguly even when he was not in form. I myself is marathi and i condemn the performance of sachin and agarkar even they are marathi. I don't understand why can't you bengali understand that it's our nation who was defeat and not maratian or bengali
He himself went beyond any limit to support sourav that demonstrate that bengali care less for nation and more towards there identity as bengali. You bengali was betrayer

yeh ... it was seen in TV dat some ppl were even takin photos of sehwag n dhoni at delhi airport ... n this rediff has seen only sourabh ... bloody south indian stuff ...
1996 world cup semi final was a hooligans act but after that why everybody started following that. now by welcoming sourav bengalies have showed the way of dealing defeat. underdeveloped nations like pakistan can through stones at their cricketers or columbia can kill their player but do we follow them. look germany inspite of loosing world cup in their own country no body cares to show protest. they dont have so much time dear.

Boss lets not take football fanaticism into account here. Honduras n El Salvador fought a full scaled war on a football match. The Brazilian Goalkeeper of 1950 World Cup which Brazil lost to Uruguay in a de facto final was begging in the streets of Rio with no one to take care of him. No girl married him. I would say our cricketers are lucky in that respect.
Hi Similarity bet'n Ganguly and British ppl... 1) He also encourage devide & rule policy whn he was an indian captain 2) Can't run 3) History proves that he throws his wicket out and play politics behind the back of senior cricketers
Some of the BENGALI's supports him not an Indian team which i feel sorry for them. Those supports needs to go to BANGLADESH and support there team. THey don;t have right to leave in india.

Ganguly always won.
Won 1 one day tournament in his career as a captain.
Lost the match against Pakistan in bangalore to the worst pakistan bowling attack ever and ended up the series 1-1. Lost to Australia or can say ran away from australia in Nagpur seeing little grass on the pitch.

U r right he was injured. he got a near groin injury, Mid-day the newspaper in mumbai carried a cartoon of this injury, in hindi this injury is called USKI PHATI.
10 minutes before the match Ganguly got injured and everyone in the dressing room was shocked as how did Ganguly get injured when he was fit while leaving the hotel n reaching the ground and was fit untill the captains were to go out for toss and finally he got injured.
Gr8 mentally strong players get injured at last moment and the entire team remains stunned as where this injury came from, perhaps from b..gal...
