Team India....
by Bhupendra on Oct 30, 2006 08:56 PM  Permalink

What a pathetic performance by our TOP bowlers? Are they playing GALI cricket? They all need to learn from World best cricket team bowler McGrath. I think 249 runs were good on that pitch and defendable by good line and length bowling. If they bowled well and still lost the game, I could accept that best team won the match. Indian team should pay attention on their main purpose playing good cricket not wasting time on advertise and other outside perks. I think BCCI should drop the player from team if he doesnt perform. I cant believe that BCCI cant find five good bowlers out of 1 Billion populations (put politics on side). Drop the player who doesnt perform and give some one chance to do well for team. Specially, Pathan should concentrate on his bowling not batting.

Team India

India can be a world beater if they stick to the basics. They always forget to rotate strikes...think they are much worried about taking singles.... They should be 100% dedicated to the game not to the money.

Always loosers infront of World Champs....
by Abdul on Oct 30, 2006 08:39 PM  Permalink

Our Team is always afraid of facing Aussies. I dont know why our team always loose its match against them.

Our main hero Sachin always fails infront of Mcgrath.

I think he always comes to bat with mind set that he will loose his wicket to him and it happens. Yesterday i saw Dhoni he was playing like Kid infront on aussies. No doubt there is no pace in Mcgrath's bowling but still he is able to get the wikets as well as put the fear in the minds of indians. if this is the case then we sould not think of world cup, if so we are just fooling ourselves. We alsays think that An Austrailian coach can win the world cup for us,but we always forget that, to get the world cup we need to face 11+1 Austrailians. So it will be foolish to compare one with 12.So i would say that first remove the loop holes in our BCCI and in our team, then you can think of atleast giving the good fight to the World champs. because we know that we cannot get the world cup bcak to india. i remember Geoffery Boycott saying,"India can win the world cup but can't".About Tendulkar he always fails in crucial matches and whenever he clicks we dont find anyone on the other end.GOD MUST SAVE OUR EAM.LEAVE THEM TO GOD.

The blues of ''The Men in Blue''
by Dhruba Jyoti Goswami on Oct 30, 2006 08:38 PM  Permalink

1.To get the notion out of our head that the Indians are a top class team.
2. Sachin never was & will be a match winner. Yes he will create more records than anyone else, but how much this has helped the team cause is there for all to see.
3.Sehwag is a match winner if he scores 90 in 65 balls not the other way round. But stop waiting till eternity for that to happen.
4. Cricket is a simple game where the batters have to score runs & the bowlers defend it, with good fielding thrown in good measures. "Keep it simple & keep it straight". How much can commando training, beach volleyball, kabaddi & kho-kho help is a million dollar question.
5.Emphasise on mental strength.
6.Prepare good bouncy wickets. No flat track bullies, who can't last 50 overs the moment they see a tinge of green.
7. Get rid of Munaf, our so called answer to the Rawalpindi Express. We don't need him to run like an old famished camel & bowl at 125 kmph. I can do it at quarter of the maoney paid to him.
8.Make Guru Greg accoutable. My employers screw me if i don't deliver, & Greg is paid a fortune.
9.Paid & bold selectors with accoutability.Selection on merit not on personality
10. Revamp BCCI.

How to Make India worldbeater!!!!
by Raviraj on Oct 30, 2006 08:20 PM  Permalink

Hi,

I dont think Indians will improve even after providing so much of facilities, infrastructure and all world class sports guidence.Just go back 6 or 7 year back.We never had Sports psychlogist,Physical trainer and foreign trainer like John Wright and Chappel. Now the present team enjoys good renumeration, cash everything. But even then they are not getting success. So my opinion is let them stop playing cricket and please give some encouragement to other sports like Hockey,Tennis, VolleyBall,Football etc.

Its a heartbreaking news that India couldnt qualify for semis..that too in home pitch...isnt that shameful? I dont know what people say, but when I was listening to commentry on net, every one was telling how Dravid was lacking in maintaining the team spirit.

ITS TIME TO BRING BACK SAURAV...WE NEED HIM.

Eleven individuals
by Shyam on Oct 30, 2006 08:13 PM  Permalink

Being a member of the Indian team is now so lucrative that each player is playing for himself.

RPSingh seems to have a powerful godfather.

Raina is a good test player, never a one day material.

Irfan seems to have lost motivation.

The bowlers are not bowling to the field.

Dravid has not corrected his tendency to run himself out. When will he correct this?

When Dravid is batting, the fielders do not have to move to collect his hits. He is able to direct the ball directly to them. It is an astonishing skill.

If the statisticians check their figures, Indian batsmen probably collect the least number of singles. They prefer to hit only boundaries.

When will the public realise that they are being swindled by the advertisers and the cricket control board into thinking that support of the Indian team is a patriotic thing?

Mandira Bedi used to be a nice distraction, but now that she is famous, she has become more modest and prefers to cover herself up.

I think that the advertisers are preventing Tendulkar from retiring gracefully. They want to milk his fame to the most before throwing him out. Please retire while you are still admired.

Indian ''Cricket''
by Aby on Oct 30, 2006 08:04 PM  Permalink

Ask yourself honestly, which of the following players will you choose in your Dream World-XI:

1) Dinesh Mongia

2) Mohammad Kaif

3) Suresh Raina

4) Munaf Patel

5) Irfan Pathan

Now, think of 5 players from the Australian cricket team who dont have the ability to make it to any team in the world. Are our resources so limited that we have to be put up with a team which dosnt seem to care about playing with pride. Cpuple of boundaries, and you can actually see shoulders sagging all around. Fighting spirit - ZILCH.

A talented young player like Suresh Raina playing out maiden overs in the final 10; when Dhoni is waiting on the other end and Irfan is waiting in the dressing room; and aussies cannt wait to bat on the best pitch in the tournament so far. Definitly something wrong with the planning or the mentle make-up.

I am not watching another match involving India till it beats Australia atleast once. Or, wins atleast ONE match against SA in SA in November. Beating trundlers like England in an ODI isnt my idea of sport.

And can the real Tendulkar please step up? I hate telling my friends again and again that you are the world's best, without any recent proof.
