The blues of ''The Men in Blue''
by Dhruba Jyoti Goswami on Oct 30, 2006 08:38 PM

1.To get the notion out of our head that the Indians are a top class team.
2. Sachin never was & will be a match winner. Yes he will create more records than anyone else, but how much this has helped the team cause is there for all to see.
3.Sehwag is a match winner if he scores 90 in 65 balls not the other way round. But stop waiting till eternity for that to happen.
4. Cricket is a simple game where the batters have to score runs & the bowlers defend it, with good fielding thrown in good measures. "Keep it simple & keep it straight". How much can commando training, beach volleyball, kabaddi & kho-kho help is a million dollar question.
5.Emphasise on mental strength.
6.Prepare good bouncy wickets. No flat track bullies, who can't last 50 overs the moment they see a tinge of green.
7. Get rid of Munaf, our so called answer to the Rawalpindi Express. We don't need him to run like an old famished camel & bowl at 125 kmph. I can do it at quarter of the maoney paid to him.
8.Make Guru Greg accoutable. My employers screw me if i don't deliver, & Greg is paid a fortune.
9.Paid & bold selectors with accoutability.Selection on merit not on personality
10. Revamp BCCI.
