hai every message posters...its natural for team to lose its form sometimes,our team has a recent record of chasing 17 games consistently..and beating SL 6-1,pak 4-1,eng 5-1...but failed against WI and Aus but be patient its a young side it needs some time to settle down..we have the GREATS of cricket DRAVID and SACHIN...they will bring this young side to good form....the blue men will rise...lets support them
apart from the bad performance it was some of dravids disisions that played the part in our lose....ganguly should be called as an instructor...or something..his experiance hould be used cause we need a a good captancy...
Bring back sourav Ganguly in the place of Shewag. It is a real advantage for india if Sachin and Ganguly open the innings. Left and right combination help indians. Indian always perform well if they get a good start. Shewag wicket is a compliment wicket to the opponents.
Weak link is bowling : Against non subcontinent team:play 2 spinner+2pacer+6 batsmen+Dhoni Fifth bowler Sachin,sehewag,Yuvraj.Anil must play.Anil+bhaji will provide wickets in middle over. 2 pacer can be Zaheer(In form) and either Munaf/agarkar. No Pathan(Lacking form).Batting line should include VVS(Scores more run than Kaif&Raina saves and scores). Batting order Sachin,Sehewag,VVS,Rahul,Yuvraj,kaif/raina/mongia,Dhoni,... Atleast this order will create pressure on opposition.Top order will play freely. For subcontinent team replace one spinner with one pacer (pathan). Fielding VVS at slip for 20 overs(PowerPlay)brilliant slip fielder. Balance 30 overs at sweeper cover less running side wize and covered by thirdman. Anil at Mid off or longon.Further following discipline code. 1) Atleast one of top 4 should bat upto 50 overs. 2)Yuvi,Dhoni,should target the best oppositnbowler to shatter morale. 3)No comml. assignment 4)No holiday (Depavali) 5)No fuss about pitch(same for both team) 6) horses for courses ( Power/Mongia. 6)No Criticise in media.
We need an agressive Captain who will lead from the front.. and perform in the crucial matches.. Kick people like Sachin, Sehwag and Rahul out of the team... they are very powerful.. but only against teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.. They score centuries agsint such teams and cement their place for next 50 matches... We need people like Ricky Ponting, Lara, Smith, who perform in the crucial ties.. remember Pontings innings in the last world cup final... thats what we need... player who r tigers on the wars and not on papers..
I will keep my views in points. 1. Bring back Saurav as a captain, its only him who can inject some blood into this team of non-performer. 2. Show Chappel doors cos he has never been a good coach in past, he was more interested in keeping sourav out of the team than improving the team. 3. Never open with Dravid, he is the most important player and this shatters the confidence of Sehwag... what to say this was the policy applied by Guru Greg which always made me feel that he came here to spoil the team. 4. Give rest to present bowlers and bring back some of the performers of the past .... Balaji, Nehra and Zaheer. 5. Do not experiment too much now as the world cup count down has started bring back the old goldies like Kumble, Saurav their experience and presence in the team will definitely benefit the team.
Just by changing coach/captiain/players or selection panel will not make indian cricket team a world beaters.
Indian cricketers , Coach , Media , Selection Panel and more importantly the BCCI all have to work together to achive this.
Lets look at ground realities.Crickters play for thier respective states and then are selectedi to play for india.
In India we have about 27 state teams. Take one batsmen from any team. When he plays the other 26 teams , how many quality bowlers will he get to face (maybe 1 or 2).Most of bowlers are good for state.
A crickter is as good as the opposition he plays .
So when our crickters play for india struggle against quality bowlers.They are good only in flat wickets and most of them have weak techniques.
Lets change the current system to . Players plays for state teams . If he performs better then select him to play for Zonal teams. If he performs better in Zonal system only then pick crickter to play for india.
make the pitches in india a bit bouncy. Very similar to the pitch in mohali. It had nice bounce and also there was turn as well.Lets make all picthes in the country to have a bouncy wickets.
