But Team Management has to do the same with other non performer in the team like Sehwag, Jafar, etc...So that when the player selected first time should be fully committed to his performance and this is the last way to improve the performance of Team.
The carried of Ganguly was about to end but these non performaers has lead him to back in Team, management has shown interest to makle young team but youngsters were failed to prove themselves and as a result Ganguly is back in the squad and may play WC 2007 too.
Hope team Management will take such strict action in future against the players who will not perform well, rather to look at the name or the record of individuals, records are made when the player was in good form but now he is not performing the he should be out of team. Harbhajan has done well so far but after entry of Kumble, he is not getting opportunity to play. Why we are dependent on Kumble, why he has been called back, once he has announced the retirement.
If the decision is really serious it should be enforced on other out of form players no matter how much senior they are. No, he should have not sent back,Definetly not, he is a good allrounder you should have given one more change, atleast he batted in practice match and we won that and is the only player in this series who had hit century . I feel pathan to be send to play county matches instead of playing in India or he can be send to west indies to play the games if available in west indies. i prefer indians to send pathan with others like kaif, raina,dinesh mongia & 2 more seamers to built their confidence level in west indies as they can be rotate in wc07 in west indies next year.
The game of cricket is to win & it is also a team sport so if 1 person is not performing well they can be taken out of the team. The poster above me, chappel is doing a good job. If the players cant perform it isnt his fault, so do not use him as a scapegoat.

I think this is the only Correct decision which BCCI taken. The should practice in the Local Matches , get correct rhythm and come to International level Like Zaheer did..
