Is chappel Aliar , Mr mahendra?
by Sanjib Datta on Sep 27, 2005 11:22 PM  Permalink

At the end of the another battle's begining I must say that it is clear like anything that The Review Committee of BCCI fails to take any possitive corrective measures for'best interest of Indian Cricket'.This 'Personality Clash' will take new shape henceforth and obviously detoriate Indian Cricket for the purpose of 'best interest of BCCI officials'.

Is Chappel a liar,Mr.Mahendra
by P.Prabhakar on Sep 27, 2005 11:21 PM  Permalink

No,Chappel is not a liar.It is you Mr.Mahendra who is a liar and the root cause for this lie is the applepie that lures you like an ant to the treasures and booty of cricket that is being harvested today. You and your band of BCCI( NOT TO FORGET THE NOTORIOUS J.M.Dalmia) administration are sticking to this pie and not for the benefit of India cricket. It is you and the whole group that has to be sacked forthwith, you all deserve this, hic!

GREG- The ''YOGI''
by Saikat Paul on Sep 27, 2005 11:21 PM  Permalink

It is very strange that only with a mere experience of few months..... Mr. Chappell got all the ideas about Indian Cricket.

Ganguly...the most successfull Captain in Indian Cricket history is afraid to play in bouncy pitches!!!!!! Hallo Mr. Chappell are you ok?

In Ganguly's captaincy none ever complained about any sort of dirty politics in dressing room. But Mr. Greg has got that news within his that very short tenure.
I am amused....and thinking whether he a "YOGI" or he has got a supernatural power of mind reading.

For Mr. Prem Paniker

After reading the sarcastic report of yours, I came up with a few questions of my own. Have you ever held a cricket ball (the round with with stiches around it). Which brings me to my next question, Are you an Indian?

In the time where Indian cricket needs support, you manage to come up with such amazing display of 'I am the only guy who's got it right' attitude. The worst part of it all is that you are somehow famous. Now to me you have become infamous. In a time when India should be celebrating its first overseas test series win in over 20 years, you have managed to make everyone cry. Hats of to you!!!!

As a patriotic Indian, I feel it is the duty of every Indian national as well as anybody else that loves the game of cricket should take the time and effort to find out what exactly happened. Putting up sarcastic comments to degrade the captain and coach has all but earned you a few penny's, but it is people like you who ruin the game. Remember this, when you critise or paste sarcastic thoughts about the Indian cricket team, you are actually critisising and degrading all Indian nationals, including yourself.

Is Chappell a liar, Mr Mahendra?
by Sampathkumar on Sep 27, 2005 11:15 PM  Permalink

Please lets take an oath that we will never take cricket particularly Indain cricket seriously as it is run by goofs and going to completely abstain oursellves from watching or discussing cricket anymore as its going to fill the coffin of Mr.Dalmiya and Cos.If there is no market for Indian cricket (I mean T.V rights etc) the great people running cricket will try to be honest in their approach.

Is Greg Chappell a liar, Mr Mahendra?
by sunil nath on Sep 27, 2005 11:15 PM  Permalink

Right said Fred; you hit the nail on the head. As long as Dalmiya and his cohorts are at the helm of affairs, we should not expect anything better than sweeping inconvenient and obvious issues under the carpet. If Greg Chappell has any dignity left, he should quit. Let Ganguly and his followers in the Indian team manage on their own and make the Indian Cricket Circus(read team) even more famous. After all there are a whole lot of fools in the advertisement industry to sponsor and back the circus show at home and abroad.

Cricket

A very sorry state of affairs for Indian cricket. It is difficult to understand the reason for this show off. In the interest of game, both Chappel and Ganguly should be asked to pack up.

For Chappel, there were many alternative ways to express his dissatisfaction over this matter. Moreover it would have been a graceful attempt had he taken a fatherly approach and corrected Ganguly. While admiring that Chappel has been a respected personality in the game and had extermely successfull career as a player / captain, he needs to show off some patience. By creating such contraversie, he is not doing justice to the job he is entrusted with.

For Ganguly, he should learn to accept the realities. His recent performances indicate that he is unable to cope up with the stress of captaincy. He should prove his worth and shut the criticism by opting to play as a player only nad handing over capatincy to someone else. If he is really fit enough and is in the form, he can score runs and really do justice to his place in the team. He must take a lesson from Aussie board which has been trabsparebt in team selection. No player can take his place taken for granted if he is unable to perform.

More can of worms to come out in a due season because it is full
by Ajay on Sep 27, 2005 11:07 PM  Permalink

This is sick'g to see all the 'tamasha' of Indian criket. The gentleman sport has become no less than rotten money making and corrupt institution in India. And Dalmiya and Sourbh Ganguly are the controlling/manupulating agents of this once good sport. I wish more such worms manifest so that they are exposed and the sport is cleansed.

This is how it works..
by Karthik on Sep 27, 2005 11:06 PM  Permalink

Prem you ignore the fact with 2 months away from election they will always end up in "faked compromise" to keep everyone happy. Usually for a problem of this magnitude compromised would be the first step for BCCI! In this case they might have told chappell that give him couple more series or ask him to just play as a player not as a captain. Something has gone behind the doors that we don't know. So let us not speculate based on what this Ranbir blabbered in the press. I am sure he has only revealed 10% of what went on there. What about the rest of the content of the meeting? Don't worry it will unfold in the coming series. At some point in future after retirement Ganguly will say "Chappell asked me to walk on knees... Chappell asked me to lie on thorns.. blah blah". So let us wait as things unfold!
