A very sorry state of affairs for Indian cricket. It is difficult to understand the reason for this show off. In the interest of game, both Chappel and Ganguly should be asked to pack up.
For Chappel, there were many alternative ways to express his dissatisfaction over this matter. Moreover it would have been a graceful attempt had he taken a fatherly approach and corrected Ganguly. While admiring that Chappel has been a respected personality in the game and had extermely successfull career as a player / captain, he needs to show off some patience. By creating such contraversie, he is not doing justice to the job he is entrusted with.
For Ganguly, he should learn to accept the realities. His recent performances indicate that he is unable to cope up with the stress of captaincy. He should prove his worth and shut the criticism by opting to play as a player only nad handing over capatincy to someone else. If he is really fit enough and is in the form, he can score runs and really do justice to his place in the team. He must take a lesson from Aussie board which has been trabsparebt in team selection. No player can take his place taken for granted if he is unable to perform.
