20 20 and one day format is different and selection in one day match as per 20 20 record which is not justified from any logic, I thing performance in domestic leagus is a better option....

great chappel(slippers in hindi) was a very honest man.some of his policies against various players rahul dravid-make him captain so that he doesn't perform making chance for australia and bangladesh because he doesn't put ny mental pressure (mr cool take out ice frm ur head) sachin tendulkar-send him in middle order when he is set as an opening batsman sourav ganguly-keep him out of the team so he cuts down his scoring rate to b in the team means applied mental pressure virendra sehwag-he is not scoring keep giving him and other team chances to win indian team-make inexperence players play the worldcup(robin uttappa) so that no chances r left 4 india to win WHAT A WISE PLANNING?

see http://specials.rediff.com/wc2007/2007/apr/08sachin-video.htm and enjoy
Sachin and saurav dropped from one day team... good Sehwag dropped from test squad..... wonderful
These steps can make FOOL to no of persons but actually it is a wise planning , everybody will agree with me that in Bangladeshi conditions Sachin , Saurav and sehwag will not face any problem to give SPLENDID PERFORMANCE and based on that
All 3 brothers AMAR AKBAR ANTHIONI ( sachin saurav sehwag ) will be easily get a place in one days and test squad as usual in next series after Bangladesh tour
It is like Saleem Javed written , manmohan Desai directed movie where MISPLACED brothers meet in the climax with HAPPY ENDING.....

i agree with u . AMAR AKBAR ANTHIONI ( sachin saurav sehwag ) will get a chance with australia so that they get out on duck and again face tempers and they get out of the team.what a good planning? don't u think they should score against every team. it is a wise planning to keep them out and give chance to youngsters so to gain confidence against bangladesh and have confidence against aussies

when BCCI met in mumbai for its review meeting of india's debacle in world cup, lots of innovative concepts were spelled out, like inducting fresh faces for the forthcoming b'desh tour in may'07.however when the teams for odi & tests were announced apart from tewary in the odi squad & rajesh pawar in the test squad no fresh faces were inducted.what transpired in the meeting indoors is not known, but it is assumed that the captain dravid must have pitched for the senior players, perhaps indicating the risks of taking fresh players on an away tour.the presence of sehwag in the odi squad & sachin-saurav's resting are baffling. seems the latter two have been penalised for differences with dravid & his insistence to keep them out.this does not augur well for indian cricket, chappell in his stint of 2 years as coach has induced infighting amonst the players, specially seniors vs juniors.gavaskar has rightly out this thing.it is high time that cricketers take over BCCI,otherwise indian cricket will go the same way as indian hockey under gill.lets get pawar elected as ICC president, so that he can finish world cricket.pawar instead of indulging in dalmiya witch hunt, should give time for talent search,& make domestic cricket more competitive & see that corporates are involved in domestic teams.in dalmiya's tenure india reached w.cup'03 finals, won the natwest trophy in england in '02,were joint winners of champions trophy in '02 with s'lanka.in case of pawar the cupboard is empty, ditto wright vs chappell & ganguly vs dravid.chappell has left, similarly to save indian cricket from reaching its nadir pawar& dravid should be forced out.

Usually I dont comments on irrelevent matters but u r forcing me to comment by repeadly sending the same WASTE message , I wanna make it clear and ask something from u --- I have seen that video 2 weeks back and it is a third grade commedy which will liked by foolish people like U --- It is a serious personal attack and nothing to do with cricket --- What message u wanaa deliver me from that video????
India went wrong in 4 things: Point 1 - in believing in itself and its team members. Point 2 - in praising Greg Chappel and allowing him a free hand to demolish Indian Cricket Team Point 3 - in stubbornly not realising that a Captain's luck also plays a part in the team winning matches irrespective of the captain's capabilities. Point 4 - Sharad Pawar, an active Politician gaining power and officially bringing in Politics into Indian Cricket. To be successful, a team needs to believe in itself and its team members.Unless one believes in self and team members the start to any battle itself becomes faulty.Abraham Lincoln attributed his success to exhibiting confidence in self and team irrespective of how he felt inside. The Australian Cricketers exhibit similar confidence irrespective of how they feel inside and this contributes to winning half the battle. Indian Cricketers partially exhibited that confidence in the 2003 Worlcup until the semi final where they lost to the greater confidence of the Australians. Greg Chappel was brought in to add this extra confidence to the Indian Team. Instead what he achieved was to make even the confident Indian players doubt their capabilities and the rest is history. I am strongly convinced that Greg Chappel came to India not to help India win but to ensure that India lose and thus make the chances of Australia brighter in this worldcup. If they do they will create history of a hattrick. Kiran More was a puppet in his hands, allowing himself to be manhandled during official matches and if the Chairman of Selectors is photographed in this fashion, how can the team be expected to win.The other selectors were even worse. They were bent upon saying yes to Chappel. Unfortunately, at this point of time Sharad Pawar took over the reigns of the BCCI. In his aim to down Dalmia he saw an ally in Greg and an enemy in Ganguly and allowed Kiran More and his musical band a free hand irrespective of what happened to Indian Cricket. When Politics enters Cricket, the rest is history. Today, I feel sad for Tendulkar. He has been penalised when the whole Indian Team failed. Tendulkar has gained laurels for the Country. People say that Tendulkar batted for himself. These are the people who do not yet know cricket or the commitment of Tendulkar. Remove the contribution of Tendulkar alone and you will find Indian Cricket not having done much. He has done more to Indian Cricket than any one single Indian Cricketer. To do this you require commitment. He has the highest Test and ODI centuries, one of the highest total test and ODI runs, etc. All this when all along Indian Bowling and fielding has been at best only second best in most matches. Inspite of this people want to sack Tendulkar. There cannot be greater betrayal by the Indian Selectors of Tendulkar than what they have just done. Vengsarkar appeared to be controlled and forced by Sharad Pawar into demolishing Tendulkar when both Pawar and Vengarkar's are themselves Maharastrians - which means they have betrayed Maharashtra apart from Indian Cricket. Currently, Tendulkar is at a threshold where he can create/break greater records. We must support him as the patch gets narrower. With that it is not Tendulkar alone who would benefit but Indian Cricket at Large. Every young Indian child cricketer batsman wants to emulate Tendulkar and this brings in greater successes for Indian Cricket. Instead, Sharad Pawar and his BCCI on account of political reasons have chosen to praise Greg Chappel and the Australians for badly treating Indians and in this aim not just Ganguly but Tendulkar has been penalised. Nobody is even wanting to ponder for a moment that had not Ganguly and Tendulkar been treated the way Greg treated them, the Indian Team would have won this world cup. Dravid does not have luck as a captain and the Selectors should realise this sooner than later. Advertisements did not come in the way of the Indian team performance. It was Captain's luck and the lack of peace of mind, motivation and the confidence in believing in self - all craftily manipulated by the man called Greg Kiran Pawar.

WHY BLAME CHAPPLE??? THIS IS OUR AGE-OLD PROBLEM..WE DONOT LIKE AND WANT DISCIPLINE.. SYSTEMS..WHETHER IN GAME OR LIFE!!! WE ARE FOR EASY THINGS...WE WISH AND EXPECT THINGS TO HAPPEN WITHOUT EFFORTS... WHETHER GAMES OR ANY WALK OF LIFE.. RELIGION,POLITICS,JOBS,SO ON SO FORTH...ENDLESS LIST.. COACH CAN INSTILL GOOD THINGS IN YOU..IT IS BIG QUESTION WHETHER DO WE ACCEPT? CAN YOU SITE ONE INDIAN COACH SO FAR WHO HAS TURNED TABLE ON THE OPPOSITION??NO EVEN ONE..IT IS NOT THAT WE DONOT HAVE GOOD COACHES..UNFORTUNATELY THEY HAVE BEEN EITHER SIDETRACKED OR DELIBERATLY IGNORED BY AUTHORITIES WHO HAD VESTED INTEREST. LIKE OF ASHOK MANKAD ALTHOUGH INTROVERT WERE NEVER CONSIDERED.. INFACT WE HAD MANY PEOPLE WHO WERE MORE CAPABLE FOR EVEN CAPTANCY..ALAS.. PLAYERS LIKE JADEJA AND AZHAR SPOILED THEIR OWN FUTURE AND MANKAD AND RAVI SHASTRI CHOSE THEIR OWN PATH .. ITS A TRAGEDY OF INDIAN CRICKET.. THEREFORE PL DO NOT BLAME ANY COACH... HIS JOB IS LIKE "TAKING HORSE TO THE POND... YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM DRINK" ANYWAY WE HAVE HABIT OF BLAMING OTHERS FOR OUR FAILURE... GOD SAVE US ALL.. WE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING EXCEPTING WORSHIP, MAKE YAGNAS, PUJA AND EXPECTING "GOD" AND COACH TO PLAY FOR US.. VERY GOOD
1.if u win the toss try to bat. 2.please try to play full quota of 50 overs in both innings with less number of wickets in hand. 3.captain has to groom some body/player to keep one end going. 4.bowlers have to bowl accoding to the field and extras should be curbed. 5.the bowlers have to maintain good line & length. 6.if the batsmen hit our bowler for 4 r 6 they will get panicky. 7.fielders have to give their best even if the catch is dropped they should not get dishearten.
This will be a big question mark for our boys. When thwey could not face Bangladesh and put up a fight, then they are only fit to fight with only LADIES TEAM. I think they may fail even there because ladies team trying to put up good show every where (in bowling, batting, feilding, and running between wicket, enthusiatic and energetic) all of which fails in men's team.
india team has actually become mediocre just look at the line up are there any players who were consistent and if one failed then the others would have taken up but instead if one failed the others fall like nine pins Sachin was a god figure in the team if he failed the others lost confidence in them-selves and failed
It is totally unfair to judge a team based on 2 bad matches. The rules were really funny. They should have used the super-8 logic in the first round. We need to blame the tournament rules and not only our boys.I am not protecting the indian team but see those teams who went to super 8?.There is something teribly wrong with the system.
