when BCCI met in mumbai for its review meeting of india's debacle in world cup, lots of innovative concepts were spelled out, like inducting fresh faces for the forthcoming b'desh tour in may'07.however when the teams for odi & tests were announced apart from tewary in the odi squad & rajesh pawar in the test squad no fresh faces were inducted.what transpired in the meeting indoors is not known, but it is assumed that the captain dravid must have pitched for the senior players, perhaps indicating the risks of taking fresh players on an away tour.the presence of sehwag in the odi squad & sachin-saurav's resting are baffling. seems the latter two have been penalised for differences with dravid & his insistence to keep them out.this does not augur well for indian cricket, chappell in his stint of 2 years as coach has induced infighting amonst the players, specially seniors vs juniors.gavaskar has rightly out this thing.it is high time that cricketers take over BCCI,otherwise indian cricket will go the same way as indian hockey under gill.lets get pawar elected as ICC president, so that he can finish world cricket.pawar instead of indulging in dalmiya witch hunt, should give time for talent search,& make domestic cricket more competitive & see that corporates are involved in domestic teams.in dalmiya's tenure india reached w.cup'03 finals, won the natwest trophy in england in '02,were joint winners of champions trophy in '02 with s'lanka.in case of pawar the cupboard is empty, ditto wright vs chappell & ganguly vs dravid.chappell has left, similarly to save indian cricket from reaching its nadir pawar& dravid should be forced out.
