We enjoyed watching programmes like Sa Re Ga Ma because the judges (all masters in their field) used to make judgements and their explanations used to teach us many nuances of music. Now, with the advent of sms votes, the judges are there to fight among themselves at the drop of the hat and increase the TRP. Sometimes it seems that we are watching another Ekta Kapoor serial and not a music program. What these Idols and Champions get ? No, not 1 crore but 1 crore worth contract...which we, general people donot know how they are going to calculate. 1 album = how much ? One show = how much ? They are going to rake the mullahs till people recognise them, till the next show starts..after that ... they go to oblivision. Do you remember Qazi ? Ruprekha ? Rex ? Amit Sana ? Debojit ? How many film songs have you heard where they have lent their voice ? Give me a list of 10 film songs where they have sung and I will admit that whatever I have written above are wrong. The channel is the winner -- raking in crores of rupees till the final, year after year...and we...laage raho..bhejte raho SMS...

I fully agree with you I wish that these channel people would interview these champions(Idols & winners at these competitions) and ask them really have any music directors even given them an appointment to meet them. Has any dirctor even let hem into their office? One more company which must have benefitted are the mobile phone companies on whom we people have wasted millions of rupees from our hardearned moneys and salaries. it is all a plain RIP-OFF and it must be brought to an end immediately
