nobody has the right to make any communal statement about anybody. be it the recent Indian idol or anybody. the RJ's remark is very cheap.I protest such cheap behaviour on the part of the RJ and he SHOULD make a public apology.
But what I, as a professional musician, playing music for the past 27 years, dont accept is that there should be any communal / regional appeal for voting.Let art shine on merit.
And I am shocked by our national understanding of evaluation of one's artistic skill set.Amit Paul any time has a better voice, texture and all that is required to have won the contest. But by this I dont say Prashant Tamang is not good.
But in comparision, Amit Paul is ,any time, a better singer. and i say this on the basis of my understanding of music.

Most of tese RJs are oversmart, act funny, donot hesitate to insult others, and they think that they have done a great job. Freedom Of Speech do not allow one to hurt others. This particular RJ hadbeen disgusting and must be punnished severely to deterothers of his tribe from doing similar acts. Amit/Prashant, who ever might be better, no one has the freedom to insult a group of Indians. The incident in Siliguri was most undesirable. School children bore the brunt. Many of them returned in the evening after proper escort. Imagine their and parents' plight. The adminstration is also to be blamed. The procession should have scheduledin the afternoon, not in the morning peak hours. The whole incident has tarnished Siliguri, known as peaceful cosmopolitan place, with no communal disturbance, what so ever
