Clubism in Bengal
by BR on Sep 30, 2007 08:26 AM

Bengal is famous for clubism. The Nepali clubs are hardly more disruptive than the benagli ones are. In that respect the club culture of Bengal is very much like that of England lads, due to unemployment mostly. It is actually quite common for disruptions occurring on a regular basis due to club activities and the socialist parties( quite akin to Shiv Sena and BJP disruptions).

It is nothing uncommon. The issue has been nationalised only because of a winner who is not from mainland India, and from a community not commonly known by others in the country.

Despite whatever happened, Prashant Tamang has done well to ask for restraint from his fans. And people must learn that being fans and exercising their enthusiasm and excitement should not interfere with the daily lives of other poor common people around.

As far as the creep RJ is concerned, he has to apologise nationally ' agar mard ka bachcha hai tau'.
