Tribute to Rafisaab
by Patrick D\'Silva on Jul 31, 2006 05:19 PM

It is a known fact that none can replace the versatile singer that Rafisaab had during his lifespan innings of 35 years with the music industry.

Though tribute is paid to him on a regular basis when the radio/tv staions play his solo duets, I don't think paying him a tribute only on 31st July every year is necessary.

The money making racket piracy taking place in today's music industry does not seem to end. All the concerned are busy filling up their pockets at the expense of these gentlemen. Example : Thankfully, (unfortunately) great singers like Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh etc. are no more in our midst. But literally speaking, if they were alive today, and would have seen and heard for themselves the gross amount of piracy, the negligence and mis-use being done of their voices in the form of remixes, I am sure they would have taken the music industry, and downed their shutters long time ago
