by Anupam Sen Gupta on Sep 28, 2007 07:07 PM  Permalink

guys who needed to stop an ambulance with a patient to enjoy moments of glory which already has taken so much of regional / communal color, should be critised in public by the hero they were escorting. and then the law should put these jokers behind the bars.disgraceful.

Indian Idol - correction in 2nd para
by Anupam Sen Gupta on Sep 28, 2007 07:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

nobody has the right to make any communal statement about anybody. be it the recent Indian idol or anybody. the RJ's remark is very cheap.I protest such cheap behaviour on the part of the RJ and he SHOULD make a public apology.

But what I, as a professional musician, playing music for the past 27 years, dont accept is that there should be any communal / regional appeal for voting.Let art shine on merit.

And I am shocked by our national understanding of evaluation of one's artistic skill set.Amit Paul any time has a better voice, texture and all that is required to have won the contest. But by this I dont say Prashant Tamang is not good.

But in comparision, Amit Paul is ,any time, a better singer. and i say this on the basis of my understanding of music.

Most of tese RJs are oversmart, act funny, donot hesitate to insult others, and they think that they have done a great job. Freedom Of Speech do not allow one to hurt others. This particular RJ hadbeen disgusting and must be punnished severely to deterothers of his tribe from doing similar acts.
Amit/Prashant, who ever might be better, no one has the freedom to insult a group of Indians.
The incident in Siliguri was most undesirable. School children bore the brunt. Many of them returned in the evening after proper escort. Imagine their and parents' plight.
The adminstration is also to be blamed. The procession should have scheduledin the afternoon, not in the morning peak hours.
The whole incident has tarnished Siliguri, known as peaceful cosmopolitan place, with no communal disturbance, what so ever

Prashant not fit for indian idol
by S C on Sep 28, 2007 06:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I along with all the India in a survey had proved that he is not fit for Indian Idol. Neither his voice quality nor his looks or intelligence matches with Amit Paul.

Who deserved to win was decided by people who have better knowledge on the field than you. You are just a viewer of this show just like me and the other millions. If you ask each and everyone of them, they will all have their winner..thatz why judges are there !!.

You are wrong.Whole world know,Prashant won because of huge vote from his community all over the world, but not because of his voice.Amit cannot be compare with Prashant in voice, personality, looks as well as conduct.Amit is far ahead. Anyway INDIAN Idol has always been not about good voice, but good vote,It happens with Amit sana, Karunya and now, Amit paul

I really dont understand, why we are divided in religion and language wise.

these reality shows says vote for the right contestant but people generally go biased. Vote for N-E and other states,

these shows are really making money by dividing Us in language and state wise.

Chake De: each one should play for India and not for state or etc.
This should be our way . . . ..
