SALAM RAFI
by P.G.NAYAK on Jul 31, 2006 01:29 PM  Permalink

When Rafi died I was 30. Now I am 56. All songs of Rafi are atleast 26years old. But the fragrance of MELODY has not changed & will not change until BOLLYWOOD exists. Though Rafi being a humanbeing is ought to be mortal, but, the mixture of Rafi\'s CLASSICAL,SEMI-CLASSICAL & WESTERN STYLE mellodious songs are immortal. Let us cherish this. SLAM RAFI.

Rafisab - a legend in Indian Hindi Filmy Songs
by Anil Dhaneshwar on Jul 31, 2006 01:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am a great fan worshiper of Rafisab. I love singing his songs whenever opportunity arises. I pleasure I get in either singing or listening is songs is unimaginable and not measurable at all. There is not a single day in my life that I do not listen and sing Rafisaab songs. Without his songs my life would have been a baron land or a desert. In his voice I see deep feelings, sentiments, emotions of love, sorrow, joy, happnness, worship which hardly any singer has been able to deliver as yet. I personlly miss him conscpciously every second, minute, hour, day, month and year after year. When I hear his songs I deeply get involved into it and enjoy the feelings. I do not think anybody will be able to substitute Rafisaab. His songs are my real source of inspiration, relief from tensions and worries and create altoghether a relieved and happy mood. I wish he should have leaved with all of us much longer. Nevertheless his songs remember him and still cherish his memories and through his immoratal melodies he is still amongst us.

I pray for his eternal peace in the heaven.

His was a maestro voice.
by Arijit Ghosh on Jul 31, 2006 01:28 PM  Permalink

The era of Hindi films when Rafi,Kishore,Mukesh,Manns De rendered their voice to immortal songs, was a golden era of Hindi Film music.

Those songs are still hummable.Rafi sabs had a sweetness and originality in his voice which made him sound so good.

We will probably never get a voice like him again.

I like all his songs......some to name are..

Din Dhal Jaye from Guide.........

Ae nargise mastana....bas itni shikayat hai......

Mai jindagi ka sath nibhata chala gaya..

East or West Mohammad Rafi was best. this is to say that we can never get such a darling voice like his. he was versatile singer. a nice and obstinate person. may God rest his soul in heavens. we love him. whenever i listen rafi really i stop all my movements there only. his voice attracts us. i feel that such voice will not raise again. Every song sung by Rafi is my favourite.

still for formality my favourite song is the title song of Kaun Hai Jo Sapnoo Mai AAya...
