Rafi-The Eternal Great
by Amod Bhadkamkar on Aug 01, 2006 09:04 AM  Permalink

Well, I have never liked anyone more than Mohammad rafi. To name the songs I like, would be like naming ten best strokes of sachin Tendulkar from his career. It is just impossible. You name the mood and he has songs for it. And obviously the best. There has never been and would never be someone like him in the music industry. So, forget about listing his best songs. Just enjoy them.

Cheers,

Amod

Rafi was one of the greats!!!
by SRIJEET on Aug 01, 2006 08:49 AM  Permalink

Mohd. Rafi was a juggernaut of Bollywood playback.Famous actor Shammi Kapoor had quoted that he lost his 'voice' when the above mentioned maestro passed away. Sonu Nigam is a great follower of Md. rafi's style and that has won him accolades from all sections of the industry.

Mitai me barfi , gane me Mohammed Rafi
by gajanan on Aug 01, 2006 07:51 AM  Permalink

Mitai me Barfi, gane me Mohammed Rafi.
Kahi Bekhayal, Dil Pukare, An Evening in Paris
Maan Tadpat kahe , thumh-ne mujhe dekha
Din Dal Jaye , Baharo Phool Barsao

Aaisa tho ne dekho, phir wohi dil laya hu
Kya se kya hua , pyar hi pyar
Kabhi Khudh pe kabhi haalath pe rona hoga
Woh door ke musafir hum ko bhi saath lena

Please continue , somebody

pay tribute to rafisaab
by rajendra kulkarni on Aug 01, 2006 07:36 AM  Permalink

Rafisaab was a legend. He impressed hundreds of thousand people by his singing. We just cannot forget him that is impossible, because his songs are immortal.

They are so many songs of Rafisaab, which are my favourite. Na Zatako sulf se pani, yeh moti toot jayege, Churaliya hai tumne jo dil ko, nazar nahi churana sanam and so on.

Rafisaab ki awaaz, yani Ruh ya atama ki awaaz thi, jo dil ko chu jati thi.

Rafi is the greatest
by Ravi Narayanaswamy on Aug 01, 2006 07:19 AM  Permalink

Rafi Saab is undoubtedly the best playback singer the world has ever produced or will produce. For me he is next to GOD. He was also a very nice human being in real life and helped so many people inside and the outside the film industry. All the songs of Rafi saab are my favourite but the song "Abhi na jao chod kar, ki dil abhi bhara nahi" brings tears to me eyes. Perhaps the ideal song to listen today on his death anniversary. If God granted me one wish, I would ask GOD to bring back Rafi Saab.

Regards
Ravi
