We really you miss you rafisaab. Time flies but we could not know when 26 years have passed. Hats off to your ever green songs which does not remind us that you are not amongst us since last 26 years. There is not a single voice to fill your vacancy. Only request to you rafisaab! please come back to us with your melodious voice so that we can get freedom from todays monkeys who are doing all stupidity in the name of music.
Rafi has been the greatest ever Bollywood singer IMHO, across all the male and female singers. His voice quality, voice modulation, expressionism, range, and versatility across genres just sets him at such a high pedestal that it dwarfs the work of all the other greats. Just sample his body of work, and it is just so awe-inspiring. What a singer!! I am proud that he is/was an Indian!!
His songs instill peace and tranquality of pleasure kind.his soulful voice and its versatility gave life to thousands of words.even god felt proud of its son whose devotional songs firmed the faith in the almighty.he gave every quarter of this society some gift.a genius, though simple, humble, god fearing, legend, rarely appear on earth and go away silently.we salute him and feel proud of him as one more son of mother india.
Late Mohd. Rafi was not only a versatile singer but also a great human being. I relish Rafisaab's songs till now. The songs sung by the present singers do not appeal like the songs sung by Rafisaab. I steel remember distinctly that on 31st July, 1980 when I heard the news of death of Rafisaab I not only got stuned but also got the feeling as if something has been taken away from my heart. This created a great void. The great persons like Rafisaab appear in the world occasionally.
God sends few with a souls to this universe with a vision to serve mankind , these are blessed souls whom god loves and trust mnost . Rafisaab was one of the noble souls who came to this world entertained the world in his own way and left a mnark of his own in the worldof music . His singing was in a way more soothing to the heart of millions . he will leave forever in our heart in the years to come .An undisp-utable talent .
a legend who will never be surpassed by anyone ,contempory,or in future.never will you find a versatility with such great flarity and immesnse depth of subject. And equally good human being.Someone to get inspiration considering our present music era.
Whatever he sang, in whichever style, he poured his heart and soul into it. You could sense his devotion in each bhajan (e.g. man tadapat hari darshan ko aaje), romance or melancholy in his gazals (e.g. baad muddat ke ye ghadi aayi, zindagi bhar nahin bhoolegi), and sheer energy and youthful exuberance in his pop songs ("aaja aaja main hoon pyaar tera" ofcourse, and ek haseen shaam ko dil mera kho gaya). I also think that each one of his tragically few semi-classical songs were gems (e.g. madhuban men raadhika, akhiyan sang akhiyan laagin aaj). What's more, he redeemed songs that might have otherwise been humdrum (e.g. April fool banaya)
a voice unparallel in the music world. a gem.the sweetest of the sweetest voices ever heard from the sad tone to the fastest he did it with ease and to perfection. a voice never to be forgotten. i have no words to praise him. he shall ever live in my heart.
