I am the Coodinator of Council for Ethnic Minority in England & Wales and also founder of the India America Society in US. I have worked in 8 countries and travel in over 50. I keenly interested in the ZEE programs and personally know a few actor and actresses. I am bit disapointed by the procedure followed in selecting India's voice. First, total reliance on the public Vote. I believe this is wrong as lay man cannot fully judge technical side of the music. Judge opion should have been given some weight. Second, the Voting system does not prevent multiple voting by the same person. Hnce it is not one person one vote rather one dollar one vote. Therefore, he/she who has more dollar wins and also it does not elfit true opion because of inecludibility of multitple voting. Thirdly, I am disappointed by the vicious personal campaign by the mentors who try to marginalise real singers like POONAM YADAV. Fourth I do not approve specific campaing by yout other invitees in the show they should remain neutral.
Finally Poonam has our open invitation to for Visit London and stay with us and we will take care of her expenses.

I agree on you totally. I have written alot on the personal campaign by the mentors infact so many people have commented but its no use...here people like HR will only speak and everybody listen and ZEE tolerates that.I really wanted Poonam to be there in the final but here only the popular stay like Aneek ..he is a good singer nodoubt but because of HR overpromoting him is really sucked. I will be more happy if you guys do something for Poonam coz. she deserves it.Every contestant has sung in some film or other except Poonam n I wonder why she is not getting any offer...

Suresh: Understand your emotions and your points are well-taken. Poonam has a sick mother and a daughter (6 yrs)that she adapted. She is playing many roles at home with $15/month. The cost of her travel, can be well spent, if you help her get a fixed deposit certificate that adds to her monthly income to support her family. I have asked Ismail Bhai to help her get a steady income, so she can get a person at home to care for her family. I also pray that she finds a spiritual person, who helps her emotional healing. She already has inspired many people, but she needs to let go the past and write it as "experience". Past has no future in it. I have asked Ismail Bhai to look into this. Her Mom also need to get a medical check-up, insure medication and meditation so she can look forward for better health and spiritual life. Her mother and Poonam has set some touching examples for people of all regions, faiths, castes, and nationalities. India has 33% population below the poverty line that means per capita income is less that $110. Poonam has 3 people to feed and her per capita income is $60. World's 50% population makes less than $730/year. Bottom 20% population makes less than $365/year. Poonam as a head of family makes $180/year or $60/person/year. That places her in world's 0.01% bottom population. So, it is not a minority issue. It is a global human issue, and UN is addressing it. Look at www.artofliving.org. They provide training for "emotional healing" with Yoga and Meditat
