'Kumble is one of India's greatest spinners'. Is this heading appropriate. I don't think so. Even Kumble does not think so. He is one of the bowlers who just bowl straight. It never spins. Harbhajan or for that matter Piyush chawla or for that matter Sunil joshi can be called spinner. Kumble is in Indian team because of pure luck and fate. He is not even an ordinary bowler. Even `gully cricketers' are better spinners than Kumble. Forget kumble and go ahead. He has done nothing for Indian cricket except for personal gains.

It should have been, "Is your head right?", because frankly, your response sounds like nitpicking and petty fault finding.
How does it matter whether Kumble spun the ball or bowled slowly. All that matters for Indian cricket is that he has consistently produced winning performances more often than the other big names in Indian cricket - from any generation - have done. For that matter, we do not need "spinners" like Harbhajan who have become thoroughly predictable and forgotten how to take wickets. Whether it is luck or fate is also irrelevant - what matters is performance, and that Kumble has in oodles.

finally some body who can talk some sense,pls dont make this place ur schoolyard.Kumble is a great bowler,who remain so in future .I think,many will agree that Kumble is one player whose performance led us victory in both onedays and test matches in tough condition like no other player in recent times.He is our best strike bowler and a match winner.Way to go..kumble

Anil Kumble is one of the greatest spinner in the world. Whole world has agreed this. Remember gully cricketers can't take 10 wickets in an innings. I think you dont know much about criket. Simply dont comment..

just taking 10 wkt in a inning is not enough. It is the consistancy and fighting spirit, which we do'nt find in any Indian Cricketer. As far as world's best spinner is concerned it is undoubtdly not Murli, Not kumble but it is only S Warne.

Agreed, No doubt Warne is the best leg spinner till date, but Anil's greatness is in his control over his own limitation and use them as his deadly weapons.
You look, he can't spin the ball as warne does, but due to only variation of speed, length and bounce and most important his flippers, he is having the average at par with warne.
One pore point here is that warne has got his max.wickets againt English who are not good spin players, He was total failure against indians. but kumble has take wickets again sub-continantal great spin playing teams also.
So Don;t compare these two different styles of bowling greats and appreciate the efforts of kumble in indian success in the recent past.

Hey, you moron, chella. Kumble is the leading Indian wicket taker in tests. He is the only other bowler than Jim Laker to take all 10 wickets in an innings. He is a legend. Go to the market and buy yourself a brain !!

Have you won all these matches for India then???No bowler can take so many wicket just due to luck!Remember all these Harbhajans&Murlitharans were under scanner for improper bowling actions,but ICC with their asian lobby cleared them even changing the rules.Kumble was never into any such controversy!Harbhajan plays for his selfish motives,not Kumble!
