The fault is not the cricketers but ours. We have built up this hype through the TV & Media, put our players on a huge pedestal, and blindly followed ridiculous media statements like - Men in Blue, World's best Batting, Bowling & Feilding Team, Etc. This is just a figemnt of our imagination at best. Besides, Tendulkar, we have no player who is of class quality, and if we look at it realistically and clinically, none of our players will find a place in any other top side (Australia, S.Africa,Sri Lanka, Pak & even England probably). Today the blame rests squarely on the Media. They are the biggest gainers with all the big companies spending big bucks, advertising in their papers. But again, why blame them. If they are capable of making fools of these big so called corporate honchos, so be it. Lets not waste time. In due course, every thing will be the same again. Big money being spent on a few of these cricketers. Even if a tenth of the money wasted here, is pumped into other sport, we will surely have world beaters. But then, we are not interested in that are we ? We are only interested in foolish hype, advertising, etc. Why blame the players also ? The fault is ours.

We have not done anything like stealing the cricket kits of the players. It is their bloody job to go and perform. I am sure you are employed. Will your boss sympathize with you if you don't work and double your salary? I bet, he will ask you to go home.
