In the past many great cricketers resigned from Captaincy taking the responsibility of their defeat in WC or other major tournament. Although all 11 players played with the captain.
So if Dravid is a gentleman he should resign from Captaincy taking the blame that he could not lead the team in right way.
In Srilanka Jaysurya, Attapatu resigned from the captaincy after the team defeated. In South Africa Shawn Pollock resigned after their team lost in last world cup. Many other gentleman of other teams resigned from the captaincy taking the responsibility of the defeat but continue playing for the team.
Dravid should also resign gracefully before he is sacked.

Ganguly deliberately played negative cricket, had a big role in defeat against Bangladesh and gifted mathc to Bangladesh. He betrayed team and ditched the captain. WC event was best stage If team wins it would gone to sleague. Then there would not have been change in captaincy An early exit means dravid is not good captian and ganguly average won%u2019t spoil NOW HE IS FRONT RUNNER IN CAPTAINCY RACE simply back stage politics to humiliate dravid ganguly wasted more balls than the runs he scored. The strikerate and average of bangadesh and other country opening players are better when compared to ganguly averagel His poor fielding and poor running wkt and unwilling to take singles cost more runs to team also created pressure on batsman on other side Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs Rest of team scored 50 in 19 overs Against burmada he scored 89 in 114 balls wasted 25 balls that is around 4.6 runs per over... compare it to the indian teams average of 8.26 Ganguly was struggling while batting against burmuda, and got 3 lifes Harbajan singh went wktless in 2 matches dhoni failed with bat Zahirkahn was wktless in firest match and in he took 2 wkts against SL but he gave more extra runs b'cuz of erratic bowling. VC captain sachin failed completely with bat VC Tendulkar scored a duck, Ganguly 7 in 23 balls and Yuvraj 6? Dhoni 0?( match against srilanka) Batsman Mts Inns &n bsp; NO Runs Hs   ;Avg SR 100 50 0 V Sehwag 3 3 0 &n bsp; 164 114 54.66 &n bsp; 117.98 1 0   ; 0 SC Ganguly 3 3 0 & nbsp; 162 89 54.00 &n bsp; 60.90 0 2 0 Yuvraj Singh 3 3 0 &nb sp; 136 83 45.33 &nbs p; 117.24 0 1 & nbsp; 0 R Dravid 3 3 1 &n bsp; 81 60 40.50 &nbs p; 72.32 0 1 &n bsp; 0
Dravid was criticsed by chief selector and board members and ex cricketers but he was highest rungetter, and scored 100 and won mom. Other players din not score 100 against even Bermuda
dravid was only batsman struggling agianst SL the match was crucial and all other batamanss went to pavilion by gtting out silly shots some players played deliberately negative cricket to defeat so ppl say dravid poor captian and ganguly great. ganguly is culprit he ditched the team and captian

Captaincy is not all about one game Suman..its building the team. Rahul lost the plot in that. Greg broke the team from the word go. Rahul supported it. After that there were lots of experiments and the team did not stabilise at all. Players like tendulkar were made to bat lower the order and this was the beginning of the end. Rahul should be held responsible for all this instability in the team line up and should be kicked out of captaincy asap.
