ganguly is main culprit for defeat
by Suman Bhat on Mar 26, 2007 12:58 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

ganguly is main culprit for defeat against bangladesh. He is politician he his supporters played negative cricket deliberately to defeat the team and humiliated dravid and chappell. there is groupism and more politics after ganguly's return to team. He played for self and scored consistanly but not a single innings was not held for team victory. Hew as playing silly shot getting out when team required his service. His innings was shaky

Except dravid and yuvraj nobody has shown commitment. How can these players are commited to team??

Harbajan singh went wktless in 2 matches

sachin being VC failed with his bat

ganguly wasted more balls than the runs he scored. His poor fielding and poor running wkt and unwilling to take singles cost more runs to team Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs

Rest of team scored 50 in 19 overs

Against burmada he scored 89 in 114 balls wasted 25 balls that is around 4.6 runs per over... compare it to the indian teams average of 8.26 Ganguly was struggling while batting against burmuda, and got 3 lifes

IF some players are not readyt o commit to team but not support captain and team why don%u2019t blame the individual players?? If the other players are not ready to listen to the capt or the coach, what will the captain/coach do about it?

A captain is as good as his teammates if captain has be remved then all the players should be replaced by youngsters. Some members deliberately played negative cricket and ppl blame dravid for poor captaincy and praise ganguly for his agression

Team India lost WC capaing Bcuz of lack of team spirit All palyeras were responsible for it

In last WC 2003, Sachin batted briliently (scored 33% of total runs ) helped team and took team to final but he failed with bat this time. Ganguly success is b'zu of hardwork of sewag, laxman kumble and sachin dravid. not b'vuz of his leadership quality or aggression. Kumble was illtreated but he bowlied to his heart when he got chance in last WC

ATLEAST NOBODY DITCHED CAPTAIN AND TEAM AS THE WAY GANGULY AND SUPPORTER DID THIS TIME

But this time it is ganguly ditched the captain and team played a big role in defeat.

If coach and captain should be removed then all players should be replaced

dhoni failed with bat

Zahirkahn was wktless in firest match and in he took 2 wkts against SL but he gave more extra runs b'cuz of erratic bowling.

Sewag selection was criticsed by board memebers and chief selector, was highest rungetter, and scored 100 and won mom.

excepat Yuvraj and dravid nobody committed to team ganguly played petty politics and deliberatly played negative cricket to team india defeat

you sachin's fans go to any extent in blaming someone else for the fault of your hero! what a shame! grow up man...

You need a brainwash from this sachin mania.

Just see what is being said everywhere! Even his die hard fans agree that it was only in sharjah against australia that he performed for the team when it mattered most.

Now compare that with ganguly:

1) he was the guy to hit 100 in test match against australia played in australia

2) he was the guy who won natwest final

3) he singlehandedly won sahara cup twice for india

the list goes on. he brought new meaning to team india...

sachin epitomises all that is wrong with indian cricket... he is meek and submissive.. never puts up a fight.

Honestly I cannot understand why you are up and against ganguly... For that matter of fact compare his last 7 innings to any indian player innings he has a better score and average. Against Bangladesh he is the top scorer for india.... If you say that ganguly has a bad average against bermuda against the team average, boss wake up, to score 89 runs and create a platform for others to follow is not that simple... you saw the match against sri lanka after ganguly there was a collapse. Honestly i congratulate sri lanka on their win, The field placement was perfect... Honestly when sri lanka scored 250... i knew that india was out of the world cup... with the inital start the bowlers gave... our captian became complaisant in the later overs... see the quick singles... i didn't notice anybody taking quick singles in the indian team.. Jaywardne never let indian's settle down. we played sri lanka's game not ours and we lost. Dravid is not having the spirit and passion to be a captian, he let the sri lankans get away by allowing them to score 250 with the initial bowling displayed i thought we will contain them to 200.
By the way if ganguly had stayed on the crease we would have won the match... but viewers like you do not have a fixed opinion... in one way you say that he played a rash shot, which was for scoring (i think you forget)... and secondly you say his average is not good... decide boss what you want him to go after the bowling or play sensibly without taking too many risks.
In fact i feel that Mr. Sachin Tendulkar the master batsman in the world got bowled is a amazing... If it was a catch or even LBW i can understand.... Bowled is a shame... it shows the defenses of the little master... it is high time that he hung up his boots and start looking after his restaurant business.
