India's world cup dream/ run has come to sorry end. If the performance of the team was disappointing the reaction of angry fans equally disgusting. Guys, the team was spineless, shamless in the way they played the game but atleast let 'us' not loose 'our' dignity! With this debacle would begin a makeover hogwash. If the BCCI is serious about an interospection and learn from the debacle I feel a few changes are a must. First, they must be earnest in their effor to build a seperate squad for Test and ODI. Use the senior players, Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble, Laxman for Tests. Dravid should lead that team, he is the only captain whose performance has not dipped with the added presure of captaincy. For ODI's look for Yuvraj Singh to lead the team. Reinforce the ODI team with Md. Kaif, Powar, Karthik. This would not only help the players focus better but in the long run help build bench strength. Pathan, Uttapa should be given another chance. Shewag, Bhajji deserve the boot. Use MS Dhoni only when India is palying in the Sub Continent. The BCCI must introduce a performanced based component for the players. Lastly coming to the coach, I think Chappel was an maverick coach. Never affraid to try new things but unfortunately ran into resistence from the head strong senior members of the team and selection commitee. He should be retained to try these experiments with a much junior team, say the U19 or U23. His "scientific" methods will be better appriciated and yeild better results with the junior teams. For the national side must try someone like Kapil Dev or Robin Singh, who have worked hard to whatever they have achieved. They know what it means to represent a passionate country like India.

Kapil Dev shall be made Coach and Yuvraj should be the captain. Mohd. Kaif should be brought back from the Wilderness. I fully agree with you that we shall invest more time in player like Utthapa who does have odes of talent. Youth should e the Mantra for the Re-surrection of Indian Cricket Team. If steps are not taken right now then we should get ready to have cricket going the way Hockey had gone.
