He certainly deserves to be part of the team - I always felt he doesn't get enough mentoring or backing. He can easily be moulded into a stable middle order bat and an excellent fielder that can save a lot of runs.

He shoul d not be even considered to be in indian team. His performance is worse.

What is your benchmark when you say 'worse'.
As the author has pointed out, there are guys in the playing eleven who have not delivered for so long, and still hanging around - Past records or achievements? To hell with it. Only someone like Dravid can point to test performance of 2 yrs back to justify his backing of Veeru.
