Before criticising any one my contribution to this game is ZERO, but, having watched as many as games and especially all the finals INDIA has ever played only the ONE of 1983 World cup and Benson & Hedges in AUstralia are like by me the most, i think as belows: The fighting spirit of the all the players is zero, our team is no doubt tigers on PAPERs but are of no use when the real tallent of them is asked. I have never seen all the 4-5 top class batsman of the current team ever have taken INDIA to a considerable chase victory- leaving apart the innings of Yuvraj and Mohd. Kaif(england. All the 4-5 tops have almost played 200-300 plus ONEDAYS having to their credit runs almost to the tune of 10000 plus, but whats the use. Most surprising thing to be watched was dropping of Kumble when he had taken wicket against Bermuda, and secondly, the earlier day we had scored 400 plus ( against the popatwadi team)but the next day we are not crossing even 200 ( shameful), thirdly, may be Rahul's decision to field may be correct, but that was the third mistake, fourth, YUVRAj running for the CHIKKI single, everybody knows RAHUL won't run if the ball is in fielders hand than the Question is why YUVRAj ran.Fifth, the batting line up was totally wrong. Sixth, Sachin getting out in the THIRD ball, to a bowler who has no class in getting the wicket of sachin (the great man i admire after SUNIL GAVASKAR). Again I am of the opinion that a strict action should be taken against all of them by banning for ONE YEAR so also the CORPORATES who are signing them as BRAND Ambassadors and for ADVERTSING should cancell all the contract. All of them should be asked to play domestic cricket for one year. Secondly, all the players should do proper excersies on daily basis, because fitness is the biggest problem of INDIAN CRICKETERS. They should be asked to do SURYA NAMASKARS, SHEER SHASANS, BAITHAKS, and SKIPPING, i think this the mostly required by all the players. Thirdly, fielding, back-up, covering in all this three we are ZERO. We should have fielders like Srikant, Yashpal, keeper like Kirmani, bowlers in the class of Kapil, Mohinder, Roger Binny, Madanlal and HAT-TRICK taker Chetan.
If i want i can write more but it's of no use, because the world around has changed, what they may be facing there is known to GOD only.

My dear friend ur analysis is very appriciatable. HAD INDIAN BOWLERS GOT FAIR DECISIONS BY UMPAIRES ON 2-3 OCCATIONS..I DOUBT LANKANS CROSSING 200 .....MAY BE INDIA WOULD HAVE WON THIS MATCH!....CONCLUTION: UMPIRES TOO R THE CULPRITS OF THIS RESULT

Well said. Ban those dawdy adverts. Get the youngsters in, train them well and ban cricketers from featuring in adverts. Why do they need the extra cash? And those damn companies like Pepsi etc. should stop cashing in at the nation's expense.
