Like anyother Indian I want always India win over Pakistan. But its sad that Inzammam planned to retire from one-dayers, I think he could moved ahead his batting order from fourth down to first down.
I don't see much cricket in TV, but Inzammam is a fine gentleman, compared to Imran Khan or Javed Maindad. In fact Imran Khan took away the glory of toiling effort of Inzy, In the 1992 world cup finals their total was less than 100 after 25 overs, with Imran and Javed were playing too slower than in a test match as if it was net practice. The momentum caught on because of Inzy. Its pity that Inzammam doesn't carry the fame like Imran in Pak.

U Hit the nail on the head. I always thought it was Inzi who was responsible for Pak's win in 1992 and Imran was playing like a test match. In the semis, he scored 43 off 93 balls at snails pace. Alas, it was Imran who got all the name and Inzi, well, almost nothing compared to the accolades that Imran received/receiving.

imran khan was the captain. he changed the attitude of the pak team. he made them into a winning team. he beat india at home in the late 80s. he was responsible for saying lets play like cornered tigers.
imran khan was the best allrounder. he was more than a cricketer. richard hadlee himself said imran was the best.

Yep. That is very much true that Inzi and also Wasim played a big part in Pak winning the World Cup Finals1992 but letz not forget the way Imran Khan handled the team which comprises of players like Javed, Wasim etc. The encouragement and the support that Imran gave Inzi was to be seen on the television.
