I am surprised at your remarks. When I read the headline I could instantly recall the great Andy Roberts and the world cup of 1975. You are perhaps a casual follower of cricket. People who follow cricket closely (even if they are very young), will have no difficulty in associating and I am sure the headline is NOT misleading.

If you know you are reading an article on cricket and you read the name Roberts and on top of all there is a clear photograph of the person, a normal cricket fan will have no confusion at all.

Idiot, if this were to be some other issue other than Cricket or Sports in general, why the hell would it be published in the Sports section. All the other things that you have mentioned about war etc will not be featured in Sports section. What? You thought war like Indo - Pak or Vietnam is Sport or what ??

Then the headline would be "Robert recalls the great escape..." and not "Roberts recalls the great escape...". Note the "s" in the name.
But I agree anyway. Although I could figure it out, many would definitely wonder what it is about. Rediff editors are not really known for their intelligence.

i agree with other replies. roberts photo and 1975 relates to cricket. a passionate follower like me would probably rate roberts fifty against india at the eden gardens in 1983, when they were tottering. he stood by clive lloyd, took a massive lead (which looked improbable at one point of time and then marshall demolished india.

Dude!I see that you dont know anything about cricket history. I wasn't born then either and i know about the great Andy Roberts,Mike Holding, Joel Garner and Colin Croft, the fearsome fast bowling quartet. If you dont know such things shut the hell up!!!!
