No he hasn't gone mad.

He's practising his answers to questions raised after India has lost.

Here's what he'll say when they lose:
"We didn't win because the key players didn't get beyond the finding-form-and-fitness stage ..... which is not a good sign now"!!

They should all join politics after they retire!
