I am Sachin's fan, but sometimes i also felt that sachin played for records, in his last century against srilanka he needed 1 run to complete his century, he could try to send it for six or four, but took single to complete his century, i got angry it was last ball and India was playing 1st in any case for any team normally player try to get 6 or 4 and here sachin didn't take risk and took single. sorry sachin no body liked this. but ok u r also human being on that we can leave u.

u are very clever just by writing the title i am sachins fan u succeeded in avoiding many more scoldings to you if you remember he scored that century in 76 balls.......that itself tells whether he played for records .....or for country........he is a true sportsman ......we dont have any criteria to criticize him......all the best sachin.......may god bless you with peace of mind so that you can rock this world cup as you always do

I am sure you don't have a little bit of knowledge on cricket. What Sachin has done? Highest oneday scores. highest no of centuries, highest no of games etc.But what India has achieved from him? World cup......no, Test victory on abroad.....no. In the most crucial games, he is out of confidence. It look like he surrenders to the pressure.

who said he has not done well, but krishna i know u are die hard fan of sachin so i am. agree that he made that century in 76 balls, but my dear frnd last ball frnd last ball. don't put this logic of 338 now a days teams are easily chasing 340 and 350 and 400. and u know Indian flat wickets. you are worlds greatest batsman, but sorry sachin last ball for single not at all acceptble.

Btw, i am not a die-hard fan of sachin. :) I am a fan of all those who do well, whereever they perform and in whichever field they perform. Here in Sachin's case, i felt that he is a top performer and a great human being. And i feel he is certainly a better judge about cricket than me, atleast. Thats all. I am only responding if any unduly criticism is coming up. We can certainly criticise but if we have a pretty good reason and when we think that the other person did not perform intentionally. :)

Boss, after he has done so much, then don't u think that there are other 10 guys in the team and they also are supposed to do something. Don't say that we did not get WC because of sachin. He did his part. If others don't fire, then u can't hold responsible for it.

no I m not agree with you.. have you seen srilanaka team at that time they all want to stop sachins century. and you see the ball. where the bowler pitch that last boll. no one can hit 4 or 6 on that delivery. by the way how many times you hold bat for century. plz check any match in which sachin plays. you can easily check the attitude of him and other players. no mean he is batting bowling or fielding.

I don't say that player should not go for century but now days when matches are so keenly contested even 1or 2 runs are vital and he took single. and another thing is A player who aready had world record of century, is still looking for century. it would be understable if a new player trying for his 1st century.

It depends also on the ball he plays isn't it? how many times have we seen him hitting a boundary to make a 100 or 50? Even in test matches! i am sure if the ball was playable, he himself would have liked to hit a 4 or 6. He is certainly a better judge than u and me. And moreover no team wants to loose a wicket on the last ball. i am not defending him. This is what happened.

sorry krishna last ball is not the ball u play for merit, and 1 more thing suppose if last ball is good length ball would u play it defensively come on frnds it's one day game, and in any case u can not play ball for single or defensively. and mind u this word is from sachin's big fan. sometime u have to criticise your own hero.

No need buddy! We don' have to search for reasons to criticise. Do it if it is obvious, not when u think with a suspicious feel. He has done that in 76 balls. if he thought of only century he would have played more safely, considering the fact that he is not in his best form.

You all are behaving like great cricket experts. We know Sachin is feeling so much pressure for the media hype only. Sachin may be one of the best batsman of his era. But he lacks self-confidence. You can check his records, you can know that. But undoubtedly he is our key player. and he should prove that.

No one in cricket history whether in india or else where has handled the media pressure as gracefully as sachin did. I feel more than his runs and centuries, i feel that is his greatest achievement. For 17 years every cricket fan and sports jounalist in india was after him and he kept his cool and worked hard single mindedly even when expectations were soaring high, and well behaved too. He has set very good example for all.

i think we should agree to disagree at this point. :) If i had a hint that he has intentionally gone for only single, then may be i wouldn't have liked, but after he made 100 in 76 balls and allowed his century to arrive in the last over, i have very little doubt that though he had century in his mind (like any other person) he did not bother much about it.

338/3 or something but tats not the point as "execute" said he should have gone for a 4 or 6. Actually I think he was a little nervous on the last bowl. He hadnt scored a ODI century for a long time.

If that is going to help him get back his confidence so that he can perform much better later on, whats the problem? We are pretty safe by then. 338 in all probability is a winning score. And he was the major contributor in that score anyway.

that does not make any difference becuase now a day teams are succesfully chasing 350 400. U know this. even those extra 3 or 5 runs if he would have made could be vital
