Hype and Reality

Well ! Yes as most of us feel that Sachin could have been a better match winner and should have a far better test record than what his statistics show right now but lemme just put some points in front of you -
1) Sachin has been playing for so many years now, 16 years on international cricket and fan's expectation do take a toll.
2) When he was in prime i.e. early or mid-twenties, indian team wasnt that good and they were poor travellers. There was so much of expectations only on one shoulder that all of us (even sachin himself) may have believed that he will be the person who will take the team of out of trouble all the times. Remember the time when people used to vacate the stands when Sachin used to get out.
3) His test record and ODI record is far better that any other indian player (i am talking about both versions) and on the top of that he can be parntership-breaker bowler also at so many times.
4) He went through so many injuries in past 3-4 years that an individual start feeling little circumspect when he is towards the end of his career to take less risks and less chances. Batton needs to be passed to somebody younger in our case people like Sewhag, Kaif, Jaffar, Gambhir etc never could take the responsbility really (even Yuvi in test matches, laxman in ODI)
5) Has a good record against Aussies who are a good bowling side and never faced indian bowlers (since he is also part of indian team!) when indians always used to be poor travellers and teams used to milk them in foreign conditions.

So give poor man a break for somebody who tries giving his best to the team, ia a humble gentleman, praised by Bradman, dreaded by Warne !!

Lets be positive and pray that he keeps on giving his best till he is on field.

It was the best comment i have ever read here. Hat off to you and ofcourse the great living legend Sir Sachin Tendulkar. All The best to all his critics for upcoming World cup. Sachin definately going to make them search for their words. They will hardly get anything.
