Dear People, especially Sachin fans and those who post Messages against Dravid. Please accept the fact that given the present day standards, Dravid is a cut above Sachin. I think Dravid has been used as a slave. If there are no regular openers, he will open, if a wicket falls early, he will be sent in to steady the innings, will be sent down at Number 6 to stabilize the lower order, will be asked to keep wickets to give an the team an option to include an extra bowler or batsman. What else do you want him to do. He will never cry that he wants only the opening slot or has never said that his captaincy is pressurizing him to perform. Moreover he is just one year old as a captain and this is not the time to compare with other captains. Still, Within this one year, we had victories over Pak, WI in their soil, won 17 consecutive chases, won a test victory against SA which has eluded us from 1992. Guys, it is a known fact that Sachin is great, but given the present day standards, Dravid is definitely the best when compared. He could not be selected as the ICC best test player and captain without performing. and for the past 3 years, he has been the most dependable player for India. Please have some heart when you throw abusive messages against him. SOmeone said sachin won matches for India at the sahara cup, titan cup. Didnt Dravid win matches for us in Aus, Pak, WI, SA, England and SL? Afterall, the players are there in the team to perform. Just giving some statistics and saying that he is best/worst doesnt seem good. If you believe in statistics, well there are many which can prove Dravid is best. We have accepted the fact that Sachin is great, so, please give due respect to Dravid for what he is now. Thanks

We should not compare players. I agree completely. We all respect Sachin, Rahul and rest of the team members for their ability to be in the final eleven. And we need each one of them to fire!

even i hate comparing players but some offensive messages against Dravid compelled me to compile that post. All i wonder is, why people aren't coming out of their shells to back up another man from the same INDIAN team who is giving his heart out. I hate idol worship among sportsmen and there are so called (note: i am not mentioning all) Fanatics, who, for the sake of supporting their hero, pass on filthy comments on others. They dont accept the reality and live in a dream world. A true cricket lover should support all and he shouldn't be biased. IF they are biased, just let them praise their hero and stop with that. Let them not use some crap language in abusing others' sentiments

Dravid is definately a very good player,he helped us in winning very crucial matches. don't give importance to people who says he is not good player. but brother don't compare players. every players has it's own game and plus and minus. but sorry you said he was asked to keep wicket there u are wrong, that time his place in the team was in danger, ganguly asked him to kept althought he kept and well and secured his place in the team. but that ploy was to make his place intact in the team. but definately he is our key player and yes he is Indian wall.all the best captain get the WC

Doesn't matter..both are Maharashtrians. Its only that Dravids father moved to Karnataka for a transfer from Kissan...Dravid is a Maharashtrian married to a maharashtrian from Nagpur...So all you southies stop claiming him. Next...all the best batsmen from India have maharashtrian origins. tendlya..gavaskar..dravid..vengsarkar..vijay merchant (parsi born in mumbai)..vijay hajare..vijay manjrekar..these are just few..the list goes on and on... Now lets name some south players.. Gundappa..shrikant..chandra..prasanna..full stop..
