Lots and lots of posts on this message board convey the fact that people are not only grossly misinterpreting whats being written here, but are also ridiculing rediff. Well, guys (those of you who dont understand): A1, A2, B1, B2 are just labels. The teams that will fit those labels are already decided and does not depend on the standings at the end of Pool stage. India will be B2 irrespective of the fact that they finish first or second in the group. However, if they fail to qualify, then the "B2" tag will go to the other team that will qualify in its place.
This is done just to help people, television producers and sponsors to predict and plan when and whom their team would be playing in the super eight stage if it qualifies.

SO this means that it is not confirmed that india will play pakistan in the super 8 stage

Man it is almost confirmed that India will play Pak on the same day. Except(this probability is very very rare) if either of minnos manage to beat India and then become one of the top 2 team in the league, then India will come back home. thats why India is definetely going to play Pak Cheers
