I guess there's been a gross misunderstanding of the schedule.
This is how group was written in ICC official site.
Group A Group B Group C Group D
1 Aus (1) SL (2) NZ (3) Pak (4)
2 SA (5) IN (8) ENG (7) WI (6)
3 SCOT(12) BEN(11) KEN(10) ZIM (9)
4 NE(16) BER (15) CA (14) IL (13)
Well we all know what the numbers on the bracket means. But it is the number on the left, 1, 2, 3 and 4 that lead to this horrendous mistake. The author literally took that number into consideration as the real ranking for super eights.
In that way, the super eight match D1 Vs B2 becomes PAK Vs IND and the match is indeed on Sunday.
A1 vs B2 become AUS vs IND!
This is called the "new age portal journalism" which means make money by selling ignorance and idiocy! And boy, they are proud of doing just that!
This is my first comment on this site, couldnt resist it and I wish this to be my last one too.

The marking A1& A2, B1& B2 etc are based on the rakings of the teams. As per the group B Rankings: Srilanka(#1), India(#2), Bangladesh(#3), Bermuda(#4).
Lets see few combinations:
If SriLanka and India qualify for super8 no matter who stands first in the group , Srilanka will be B1 and India will be B2.
If India and Bangladesh Qualify: India will be B2 and Bangladesh will take position of Srilanka: B1
If India & Bermuda qualify: India will be B2 and Bermuda will take position of Srilanka: B1
If SriLanka and Bangladesh Qualify: SriLanka will be B1 and Bangladesh will take position of India: B2
If Srilanka & Bermuda qualify: SriLanka will be B1 and Bermuda will take position of India: B2
If Bermuda and BanglaDesh Qualify: Bangladesh will be B1 as its ranked 3 in group and Bermuda will be B2 as its ranked #4.
The same holds true in all groups.
Got it guys???????
I got this link from one of the posting belo...see this as proof:

The author was right: Hey I have confirmed the thing mentioned by rediff.com I have seen the ICC schedule 7.5 hours back (9:40PM IST), then i was able to see India Vs Pakistan in braces below B2 Vs D1. But now, at 5:30AM (IST), the names of the countries have gone off from the super eight stage. So i guess all the confusion is due to the ICC website changing the schedule twice (The 2nd change, change to the original state, was done after the article got posted in rediff.com). Did anybody else notice this?
