Yeh to hona hi tha. One fails to understand why Dilip Vengsarkar had to create such a silly situation for Irfan.
It is a well known fact that fitness cannot be decided on one game. Deodhar Trophy being a limited over match, Irfan would get, at the most, 10 overs to bowl in the match. How can this 10 over be sufficient for Vengsarkar & Co to decide Irfan's fitness?
There was no need to create such a confusing situation for Irfan and the Indian cricketing fraternity.
