our man DHONI could learn two lessons from Gilchrist. 1. Dhoni does not have even have 10% of he talent of Gilly. Dhoni! watch his foot movements and compare with yours. 2.he has tremendous courage, and you you piss in your pants when you see face real fast bowling. what future can you offer indian cricket??? Ads and curly locks alone don't help Indian cricket.

jess, It's so easy to critisize. can you do even 1 % of what Dhoni does ? I don't know what is your profession. But tell me, in your profession, are you doing 10% as good as the best in the world ? Think about it. (for example if you are a businessman/IT are you ddoing 10% as good as Bill Gates?) Dhoni has been doing pretty well. Gilly has grown up facing the best of fast bowlers in Aus. No point in criticizing Dhoni. And remember Gilly has been failing also-- not that he is consistent. Dhoni has the potential to become a Gilly. What we should do is to encourage the likes Dhoni.

After initial sucess he thought himself no less that a five star actor. Change of his hair style was one example of deverting concentration on glamour that GAME.

Yes Ranjith, I agree with you mostly about Dhoni. However one difference between business/profession and cricket is that you can improve with practice in cricket but in profession, probably some of the abilities are god-gifted and also being a little 'lucky' (e.g. being in the right place at the right time). In cricket, the biggest difference between Ind and Aus is the Aus is far superior physically and mentally although Indians may be (may be) sweet timers of the ball, technically correct, pleasing to watch when they play their shots with a straight bat etc. However, Indians lack power which the Aussies have and it is because of the superior strength of the Aussies. A part of it is lies with their genes maybe. What is a little disconcerting is that Indian cricketers don't even seem to try hard enough, most of the time they are out of the game even before the game is over.

Ranjith: easy boy. what is all this with 10% 20% 30% Bottom line: If you are not the worlds best stop acting like a hero (Bcos the is only room for 1 in the top and its Gilchrist). Simplicity should be the way of life and Dhoni needs to be learn that. See Tendulkar for the when he was in his prime. Probably when was 26 - 27. Unfortunately he has passed that and does not realise.
