Worst World Cup Ever
by No Returns on Apr 29, 2007 05:49 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

2007 World cup was the worst World Cup Ever...

1. Teams were moon walking not really playing hard

2. Most of the matches were one sided and boring

3. After Bob W. case players and officials it seems just wanted to finish and go home. Commentators were not excited to comment and I did not learn anything new by listening to them.

4. Final really summarized the world cup at least for India, Wet (everyone cried) Cut short(after India's early return), disappointing and dark.

5. Australia plays like professionals rest play as if playing the gully cricket. Srilanka really tried but were defeated only by one man.

6. Greg Chappell was 'planted' in India for India's early exit. He created rift among players, between Board and players, among Indian People, Players and board. India and Pakistan in their best form are the only teams that can defeat Australia.

7. For Australia the world cup starts in the previous world cup for Srilanka New Zealand, it starts on the first day of the world cup. For India it starts after they invariably lose the first match. For England and W. Indies it never starts. Pakistan is an enigma.

8. Australia has become dynasty like the Clive Lloyds West Indies team. All other teams look sad even before they play them. E..g Murlitharan is a model for toothpaste ad when he plays with any other team. Always grinning from ear to ear. Today he probably was a model for a shaving cream.

If Greg Chappell, a foreigner can simply come in and create a "rift" amongst a group of 11 Indinas, then well, we dont deserve to be united.

True Abhinav,

His last parting shot to Sachin was that Sachin doesn't play to win. Which may or may not be true but he should have told that to the board and Sachin directly but he many a times used press which is the worst way to coach a team. It is like a manager reprimands an employee right in front of the whole company

Clint,

The point that I am trying to make is that a coach will always find numerous faults with players, that is his job and also his job is to fix them not to take everything that he finds to media just to save his own backside.

Mr. No Returns R u crazy.... do u follow news properly.... Greg never used media watever he presented was to the board... it was players like Sachin, sourav and board who used media to get out of muddle they landed themselves by giving emotional dialogues and past performances...

Well done Greg....
