Gavaskar the Shameless Politician
by sreekumar radhakrishnan menon on Apr 23, 2007 07:33 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

In 1975 World Cup against England, after England rattled up 334 for four in 60 overs against India.
And in reply Gavaskar made his infamous 36 not out in 60 overs. He played 174 balls hitting but a solitary boundary and India finished at a mocking 132 for two off 60 overs.

Gavaskar had differences with then Captian and this is the way he chose to make his point.

This shows how vindictive and mean he is, and Chappel not being his best of friend, now gets his attention.
