It is my strong feeling that Australian team was afraid of India, after the great Calcutta defeat! Mr. Greg Chappel was sent to India as a coach with a hidden plot to sabotage Indian Cricket. And he is successful to some extent. Our poor (Not economically but mentally) BCCI played in to his ploy.
I am happy that Gavaskar has come out openly. Only India can outsmart Australia in Cricket. Kris Sishtla
Dont even day dream of beating australia. They r professionals -- 1 cheer for every letter of the word. Indians dont even stand a chance even in their dreams. Forget it.

I fully agree with you. After appointment of Chappel Indian team has done the worst.
None of the Senior & young players have done well. The Seniors lost their form due to constant change in the batting position. Also Irfan our main spear head ace bowler lost his rythmn after being promoted as one down batsman. Today he is not in the team.
